WOW!

Go to bed & wake up & the thread has exploded!

Mike - Maybe they'll be handing out Optimatorspopcorn:: somewhere on the course? Tights....really:scared1: ? Yeah, thanks for suggesting Philly in almost-December.

Lou - Thanks for the in-depth look @ the course, Mike's right, they should hire you over @ the webiste. Um, do you think it's safe to take beer from those college kids? I may have to @ that point in the race.:thumbsup2 Love the youtube post, I'm planning on renting that movie next Fri as I'm sure I'll need all the inspiration I can get! Did you get that 4 in?

Cindy - OK, you obsess on the weather because mentally I'm way too drained. I just keep feeling that it's going to rain & I'm preparing myself. And I must agree with Lou, cold good - heat bad! Heat makes me violent :rolleyes1 :flower3: . OK, I should know the answer to this question, but is Matt running this thing? 12? Really? I'm gonna go check my bib number!

Theta - OK, you need to keep busy & stop posting about weather. It's gonna FEEL like 14??? This'll be especially heinous for you who's coming from "the south". Any more LR/W in store for you?

Howard - You still out there? Is Cam getting ready to have her home invaded?

Sara - Don't you like it when I get all philosophical & crap?:lmao: ? It's so laughable! I wish I was doing the 1/2:sad1: , I really don't know how I'm going to run by that shoot @ 13.1 popcorn:: .

Chester - Were you able to get that 4 in yet? How'd it feel? Happy Birthday to MOM!:yay:

Dave - Where are you? How's your hip?

Hummus - Come out, come out where ever you are!!

Jen - How do you feel after those miles?

I only ran about 3.5 yesterday b/c apparently my pin guy really got things going in my hip flexor again & it was aching a bit, so I decided to cut the run short. No biggie, I know there's nothing I can do in the next 12 days to help out with my conditioning, so...What time is everyone going to the expo?

Ugh.

I woke up this morning with (sparing you the lovely details) what I will describe as “severe intestinal issues.” I have no idea what is going on.:sad2: This is very unusual for me – I never have stomach problems – I can eat whatever I want and I have seriously never even needed a Jodistop.

Anyway, after taking some Pepto-Bismol and spending 2 hours of repeating the cycle of lying in bed for a few minutes and then heading to the bathroom, I’m feeling a little bit better. I had to come into work today and just had some saltines and am drinking a ginger ale. Hopefully, its over.

Obviously, I did not run today.:rotfl:

It's OK, Cindy, you're just getting sick NOW instead of before the marathon. I hope you feel better  . Really? You've never had to make a Jodistop? :worship: :worship: Impressive!

Jodi - Got the 4 in. I'm feeling pretty good (knock on wood). Good to see you got 3.5 in despite the aches. You'll be fine. Just think of that old dude in the marathon video. That grandpa is still kicking out marathons.

Cindy - Montezuma's revenge? Not good. My DS woke up today with the same problem. Must be something going around. As Jodi said, better to get it now then in 10 days...right?

Hi Jodi- I'm here, lurking... my hip is "same as it ever was". I ran yesterday on the indoor track, and everytime I went around a curve it hurt. I'm fine if I can keep running straight with no sudden movements, trips, etc. Downhills hurt... yeah, I think I'm in good shape to run 26.2.

How's your hip doing? Did your pain go away? Did you see a acupuncturist?

Oooh, Cindy, that doesn't sound good. Maybe you have a low-level flu bug. Get your rest, and hydrate...

Cold, snow & rain are a definite deal breaker! I don't want to see men in tights!!

No, No, No, No, No, I didn't see that, it wasn't there last night, I am not seeing that, covering my eyes, covering my ears, la la la la la.:sad2:

Oh, by the way, I just entered my DH in the Disney Marathon.:thumbsup2

I told him to be afraid, be very afraid.

I was beginning to wonder if you actually were married or just thought you were.:rolleyes1 So, we'll actually get to meet your husband! Poor guy.:sad2:

Dave - Sorry your hip's beat. I'm feeling ok. Did you check to see if you can switch to the 1/2? Actually, you should just ask Lou because his information about the race seems to be more comprehensive than the website's.:confused3

No, I can't officially switch to the half. The deadline to do that was 10/31. That's OK, I can bail on my own though.

Thanks everyone.:grouphug:

Starting to feel much worse:sad2:

You know when you walk and your pants brush up against your leg and its something that you don't even think about? Well, right now I feel so achy that that actually hurts me:sad1: (I hope that made some sense).

You are all right - better now than next week, I'm just worried about work.:sad2:

Sorry for so much whining.

I will agree with everyone that cold is most definitely better than hot, but this is a bit much. (Also I'm really just peeved because I need my Race-Ready frilly butt pockets for the marathon. Right now I only have the shorts and I debated between orderig the capris and the tights. Guess which ones I ordered a few days ago :headache: Should have gone with the tights!)

CindyLouPoo - Awww, I feel sorry for you  . Listen, when you're this sick, work can go scratch! Go HOME & crawl into bed. They abuse you enough @ your job as it is, you need to rest. BTW, if you get the urge to um, "let one go" don't do it!! The consequences could be devestating.

Jodi - :lmao: Thanks for the tip, I'll try to keep that in mind:rotfl:

Look - we've successfully moved from "men going commando in tights" to "pooping your pants"!:thumbsup2

Did anyone notice that the youtube link Lou put up also linked us to a video of the marathoner to "pooped his pants" but kept running??!?:scared1:
