Philadelphia Airport in April?

Since it's my first time flying, I don't know what to expect. Does Philly International have a lot of delays in April? We're going April 2 - 9. What can I expect? I plan on taking either Southwest or Airtran... Can anyone give me any insight on flying from Philly at this time?

We left last year the second week of April, we used Southwest and had no problems. The weather was fine, we left on a Saturday afternoon and got there 2 hours before our flight and we had plenty of time to go through security and get to the gate and sit and relax.

Usually their security lines are long so allow plenty of extra time to get through security.

Actually, the securty lines at Ait Tran and Southwest are not long at all compared to USAIRWAYS in PHL.
I take Air Tran as much as I can. Very quiet terminal.

I usually go USAIR and arrive AT the airport 2 hrs prior to my flight. You should be ok that way. I find flights rarely leave exactly on time but usually within 30 mins or so of the departure time. In bad weather it is anybody's guess. April should be ok.
