Has anyone done this straight through? I know I have asked before, but I can't seem to find my thread.

Any good routes to take instead of 95 straight, I saw that maybe 81 is good. We were planning on leaving around 11:00 pm and driving straight to Orlando. What do you think?

We live about 2 hours north of you and have done the drive straight through a few times. It takes about 17 hours for us (not counting stops). Maybe slightly longer. I suggest leaving earlier though. Maybe 6 if the traffic isn't too bad or maybe 7. That way you get some of the drive in before midnight and you aren't quite as tired when you arrive in FL.

We take 81 to 77 and pick up 95 in the Carolinas. There may be another route in there, but that's the basic idea. We like that way much better than 95 straight through.

Good luck!

We are in Reading, PA and we have done the drive straight through. On average it has taken us about 16 to 17 hours to get to WDW. We usually leave at 8 pm and we arrive in Orlando about noon or one o'clock the next day.

Our kids generally have slept well for us on the drive through the night, but mom and dad are pretty tired the next day. We usually do a pool day and just relax, and then we head to bed early. When we drive, vacation for us really seems to start the day after we arrive...at least as far as activities.

We have only ever driven 95 and we actually have not minded that...it is a very easy drive and at night we have never once in 5 trips had any traffic issues of any kind (we usually hit the DC beltway between 11 and 12 at night and sail on through).

I-95 (and I-4) is the straightest, quickest way from Philly to WDW. Cruising at almost 80 and making the fewest and quickest stops possible it will still take about 16 hours.

If you make good time you will get through Orlando just before rush hour, which is definitely something to be avoided on weekdays.

I did straight through a couple of times and it was 19 hours from Orlando to Philly right by the airport. Of course that is stopping for gas and eating.:rotfl:
