Phil & Teds parents

We are considering purchasing a P&T from a friend. We thought it would be nice for Disney. We have a 7, 5, and 2 year old and we are expecting another and I hate my current double stroller that I have had since #2. I like that we could use the P & T for even my 5 year old on this trip, and then later with the baby and Toddler.

I have a few questions though, did anyone use the buses and was it a pain? We will not have a car for this trip. Also, did anyone worry about someone stealing the stroller? It is a pretty nice stroller, and even used we will be putting over a heavy chunk of change for it. The one we are buying includes the travel bag, so I was thinking about just checking it and having an umbrella just for the airport. What do you think? Should I just put it in the bag before departure and gate check it?

TIA!

We did use ours on the buses. It is kind of a pain to hold and you do have to take the back seat off and move it to the front in order to fold it so it is kind of a pain in that respect. It also is somewhat bulky to hold while on the bus. Once in the parks it would be great for 2 small children but for older ones (the 5 year old) you will have to be careful when they climb out of the front seat because it can tip back easy and cause the little ones head to get bonked. We loved it when they were 3 and newborn but no so much now that they are 5 & 2.

We worried about it being stolen but it ended up being fine. I zip tied a laminated name tag onto our handles and had no problems.

I would say gate check.
