He knows I check the board several times a day, and did not want to see me explode!

i was still having problems yesterday afternoon with my isp but it's been resolved now

hopefully your isp's dns server will catch up soon

there are a few workarounds but you need to be computer literate really for them to work ( hope that doesn't offend anyone!)

I still can't get on through my regular service, I'm having to go through AOL.

you could manually add the entry to your hosts file

or you could use a different dns server

I'm still having problems getting in with my usual link (I have to enter the boards TCP/IP address to get in). I assume this is still a DNS problem

you could try adding 198.64.133.85 disboards.com to the bottom of your hosts file which is located in c:\windows\system32\drivers\etc

please please take a copy of it first before you make any changes though

edit - if you don't feel confident doing this then please don't and you'll just have to wait for your isp's dns servers to update

Yes, I was a bit premature with my 'normal service resuming' post

It's up and down for me - I can get in with my links at times, other times I need to use the 198.64.133.85 option.
