So I just finished reading the book and watching the movie today. I absolutely fell in love with it. It's such a strange story, but it's amazing

Has anyone else read/seen the book?

Ive seen the movie.

It has Gerard Butler, of course I have to love it.

I've seen the movie and I've seen it on broadway, its pretty awesome.

I've seen the movie and I've seen it on Broadway. And I have the soundtrack xD

I love it.

I've never read the book though.

An investment company my father was part of funded the original broadway production and thus I have seen it many times as the musical. Not the movie though, I think the original Andrew Lloyd Webber production is the only justice to be done to the story line =)

I've seen the movie, I own the OBC soundtrack (love it), and seen the Broadway show 4 times (it's amazing!!).

But I have never read the book.:rotfl:

The movie left out a really good part (the newest one)
When Erik took Christine the Persian and Raoul went to search for her in the cellars of the opera and fell into the the torture chamber of Erik's house. Erik had painted an illusion of the African desert and made it extremely hot. The mirrors cause all the heat. Once they escaped they found barrels of gun powder. If Christine didn't marry Erik he would blow up the opera. She could choose the scorpion (yes) or the grasshopper (no)
They didn't even mention the Persian in the movie
They also didn't mention when Erik died, which kinda was a bummer.

AHHH POTO THREAD!!!

Saw the movie first.
Then the stage show (touring production). We had like, the second understudy for the Phantom, but he was just perfect :goodvibes

Love most of the movie except one teeny thing:
Gerard Butler as the Phantom.
Oh my GOD. He can't sing. Erik is supposed to be an Angel of Music. This implies that he should be able to SING!

Although Patrick Wilson as Raoul was quite pleasureable!
Same with Emmy Rossum as Christine. Beautiful voice!

My #3 Favorite Broadway Musical of All Time!!

i saw the movie
and i downloaded the soundtrack on to my mp3 player

its amazing!

I haven't seen it or read it, but I heard from my parents that its really good.

I have the whole soundtrack on my ipod, i have the movie, and I've seen the play. My friend got me completely obsessed with it about two years ago. I love all the songs and walk around my house singing them *not very well I might add ;) * It's such a beautiful, haunting story I LOVE IT!!!!

I've only seen the movie, and I thought it was awesome! :D but now I really want to see the stage version!

Off topic: Hey look, 1,111, lol.

Because he's amazing at it
and :lmao:

just so you know.. not only does he sing and kick people down wells... he also dances!!
