I'm actually not sure they CAN even look at your grades. I'm pretty sure you have to sign a release to ANYbody that wants to see your grades, they can't just be sent anywhere. Maybe they can tell your GPA, I'm not sure.

I'm seriously freaking out right now! I hope they can look at my old school's grades than this school because I kinda only came here to keep my health insurance (and then I realized OMG DISNEY! so it added to as a plus)

Oh and I asked for EXTRA CREDIT and you know what he tells me to do....go to book related events! Why can't I have a NORMAL TEACHER that tells me to write something! I can't get to "book related events" and I have another class for today's event. What am I suppose to do?! This isn't fair!!

I didn't hand in a couple of assignments, and the assignments I did do he didn't even collect them! So I handed in a bunch of stories I've written for the midterm review and I hope he realizes I'm not like purposely not handing things in?! I graduated with a 3.0 in my last school but I'm failing in normal college (I went to a ITT Tech that was VERY hands on compared to community college where the teachers don't even care about you...I really hate it here...)

ugh I hope this doesnt affect getting into the CP I'm getting all emotional right now thinking about it.

i have been wondering this too! i graduated from my junior college cum laude, but my first semester at this university(last fall) was really not good at all! i have already done the academic counseling and she said i was alright...but we didnt discuss Disney then. But i guess i shall find out when I get my letter right?

My schools really into the Disney program and so they came up with a set GPA of atleast 2.0 in order to participate in the program. I know it says on the wdwcp site that whatever your schools set GPA is for the program is what they look at. But I guess if you'r school doesnt participate then its different I dont know. You might want to check with some one like an advisor or career counselor to see what they say! Hope this helps good luck

I dunno. In Michigan we have these FERPA laws.. IIII can't even email my teacher asking fo my grade, because it might not actually be ME emailing so they're not allowed to release them that way.

But, like someone else said, it might be your SCHOOL that is making the decision to let you go or not, do you know what I mean? Like they can tell Disney either "Oh yeah, she's good to go" or "Eh, maybe not" and then Disney can decide from there?

I really have no idea.

we cant ask for grades over email at my school either i think we do have to fill out a form for disney allowing them to send work that we've done back to our schools though im guessing for the classes we take there. Also my school is exactly like you said my career counselor said she decides whether I can go or not by looking at my GPA I had to sign up for this internship program as a prerequisit for my school also or I couldnt go they really take it seriously here like really!

Im an English major and I avoid creative writing so I admire you lol but I just dont like to write papers its like torture to me lol! I think you'll make it! But at my old college i took astronomy for fun because I thought we would look at stars all night I had no idea physics was involved so i totally failed and transefered to another school lol so dont feel bad at all!

Weird I don't remember physics in astronomy at all! Though I only had it for a quarter in HS. It was the best grade I had in a Science class all 4 years! I was all about the universe haha. I've only failed two classes in my life. Short Stories (I was also having this ridiculous over emotional crap over a guy when I was 18 and I was FORCED to take it because my parents insisted I take a summer class. I hated it!) and MicroBiology...which had nothing to do with my major and they forced it on me? Why? I'm a design person not a biology person, I suck at science. and I sorta missed class a lot due to over obsession with video class and sitting in the editing room for days at a time. I had the best video in class though! I made a girl cry with it! (I didn't think it was that emotional)

hooray for English majors! and Thats how i was with Astronomy! but i ended up doing alright.

Ah ha! I am glad you started a thread for our little PFA!

I don't think my interview went very well. She said it would take a half hour and it only took maybe 15-20 minutes and she didn't really ask me any questions other than which position I'd prefer and if I had been to Disney before. Oh, wait.. I guess she also asked me what my favorite part about Disney is.



Ah! I LOVE Cedar Point!! I didn't go at all last year and I was so sad

I was bad at biology too but my astronomy class was terrible my advisor said it would be easy but he didn't tell me that he didnt take the class until he was in grad school but it was nothing but physics and math equations that made no sense at all nobody got it I think the highest grade in that class was a C. But yes love english hate to write im more into reading and learning the grammar aspects. I'm glad im not the only english major who doesnt like to write then i would feel bad i dont mind short papers! lol I have to watch your video though!

I interviewed on the 6th, then recieved my email from my recruiter on the 10th. so I hope you'll get yours soon!

You guys were thinking of astrology, not astronomy. Astronomy deals with the physical aspects of the universe while astrology is the cosmic and psychological happenings as it relates to space.

no, i knew it wasnt astrology, i just didnt know that i had to learn all these physics type formulas to find things out about the distance to things or stuff like that. ha ha. i was interested in learning about what the stars were made of and then learning their names and the constellations. but i enjoyed it nonetheless

I didnt know astronomy was such a big deal at Auburn but my professor I had there told us that they were building an underground star that could power the United States for a year if it needed to, and I was like uhoh I dont think im gonna do well in this class. We had labs where we did nothing but look at stars but the actual class was physics.
