pew bit of a scare

last few days been having problems slurred speech, balance .
Well yesterday/friday decided to go to A+E thought i was drunk without the drink (could be a good thing)
Got seen straight away (well 3 hours) and they ruled out a stroke and after a CT scan ruled out a tumour,but found Calcium build up in the brain sent me today to see the on call consultant and they reckon its to do with the radio therapy i had to kill the thyroid but have to go back to have a MRI hopefully it is and treatable

sorry to hear that paul.Listening to your symptoms I would have said a TIA(mini stroke) cerebal bleed but if your scans came back negative thats good news. Hope you get well soon.

A colleague of mine (who works on the stroke ward at our local hospital) suffered slurred speech, dizzy spells etc. the staff told her to get to her GPs. Initially they thought it was a stroke but they have since found out she has a very, very nasty virus which imitates the symptoms of a stroke. She's taking a while to get better but is doing gradually, its a scary time when you're not 100% sure what's wrong. I hope you soon get your CT scan and get it sorted out.

well doctor phone today, got bloods back and they thyroxine was extremely low if non existent asked me to come in and get a prescription straight away (could have told them that as have had thyroid killed off at Easter and still waiting for it to settle)
Still to have an MRI but Consultantant for thyriod happy to see me when planned hopefully start getting back to normal,

think the MRI will be in a week or so they just wanted to get me on thyroxine ASAP.
They still want to look at the calcium build up as there pretty sure been going on for a while again might be the parathyroid glands i know quite rare but with my history, cataracts,secondary cataracts,Pigmentation dispersion syndrome,Graves and the thyroid and not yet 50( anyone want to join my lottery syndicate?)
