Petty theft at the Fort!

To funny! The raccoons around our area (Northern Indiana and Michigan) have learned how to open coolers also. I have to keep the cooler closed with a bungie strap. We get woken up at night hearing them scartching at the lid trying to open it. Then we usually hear our neighbors the next morning saying their cooler was opened and things were taken. Darn bandits!!

For years I have used one of the Igloo coolers that can be plugged in to either chill or warm your food. When we tent camped, it always had a place on the end of the picnic table, with a bungee cord securing it. We got woke up more than once when the coons were wrestling with it and got a toe nail down in the fan blade!

That is adorable!! We had some theft at the Fort also. Forgot and left the kitchen open while we went out to the pool.

We didn't catch the culprit but have pictures of the evidence!!

Carol,,did'ja know that Dunk'n D's are factory produced, froze and then sent to the store for cook'n and serv'n ? Where as Krispy K,s are fresh made, cooked, and served on the spot.
But, when you gotta have one , you gotta have one.

As we were sitting at our campsite, my DBIL looks over to our neighbor's site and notices that a small thief was in the process of rummaging thru their belonging in their screen house!

We'll I of course grabbed my camera and telephoto lens and proceeded to catch the criminal red handed, with photographic proof of the crime.

He wasn't too suspecting of me, so I managed a good shot of him before he made a run for it.

Keep your eye out for him in the 1500 loop next time you're there.

Our poor neighbors checked out before we had a chance to tell them that they had been robbed. Let it be known that a screen house and a plastic grocery bag are not enough to secure your valuables!

I have always suspected that the otters are runn'n a theft/terrorist training camp somehwere at the Fort,,this pic you were able to procure will be a huge help in the deterrance of furture attacks on our natural camping resources,,chocolate bars. I would like to put in a commandation for your act of bravery in the the face of danger on behalf of all campers at the Fort,,job well done ,

Now if we could only get hold of some servalance photos of the otters pull'n a beer heist,,then maybe we cripple their ability to steal from our beer supply.

I'm pretty sure that the otters are sending the squirrels out to steal the chocolate purely as a diversion so they can grab the beer....
