Petty Driving Experience

I am not sure this is the right place to post this or not. I am considering booking my husband a Petty Driving Experience for our visit in April 09. Does anyone know the cost, how long this takes, can family watch (or will we want to sit that long), and do they take pictures if your family is not there?

You can check prices and learn more about the packages on the their site http://www.1800bepetty.com. I did the 3 lap ride along in Nov and it was a lot of fun. I think the cheapest driving package starts off somewhere around 300.00 and there are packages that are over 1000.00 and can be pretty time consuming.

From experience I can only tell you about the ride along - the entire experience took less than 30 minutes (it wasn't crowded that day). They did take one photo of me sitting in the car which I could purchase afterwards with a plaque for around 50.00. They also make a cd which you can purchase as well. There is an area for the family to sit and watch and take pictures. I paid around 100.00 for the ride along - and it was worth every penny. I wound up riding in the the car of my favorite driver by sheer luck. I was on cloud nine!!!

If your hubby is into racing at all, he'll really love this.

my wife bought me the Rookie Experience for our honeymoon.
Very Cool. Whether you like NASCAR or not, if your a car guy you'll
like this.
The ride along is ok, to me not worth the money, might as well
get the 8 laps and drive even though it costs more.

Thank you so much. I checked it out and I think this will make a great Christmas/Birthday present for him. He has always wanted to do this but would never spend the money. He is a huge Nascar fan.
