Was thinking of trying this, but had some questions.

1. What is the cost?
2. Do they offer any discounts w/AAA and if so, how much?
3. Is this done daily or only on certain days?
4. Do you have to book this ahead of time and if so, how?
5. Is there a height/weight minimum/maximum?
6. If you drive, is it a stick shift or automatic?
7. How is the ride along? Is it worth the $$?
8. Do they have different driver cars (i.e. Tony's #20, Dale's #8, etc.) or are they all #45?
9. How do you get to the track if you are not renting a car? How do you get back from the track?
10. Do they take pictures of you by & in the car? If so, is there a cost and how much is it? Would they take pictures of you using your camera?

I don't know all these answers off the top of my head, but do a web search and you'll find the website. It has tons of info. Plus, I do know that they offer AAA discounts and that it's most likely a stick shift. Also, there are many different packages based on the number of laps and all. I think the ride along is about $100. The driving packages start around $300, I think.

I can answer some because my DH did this twice, just not at WDW though but it's through the same company. If you check out the Richard Petty website it will answer almost all your questions.

I do know they offer discounts, usually around 10% (just not sure what qualifies, I do think AAA is one but I also thought AP's got discounts there)

You definitely need to book ahead of time! There is sort of a height/weight requirement - you have to be able to fit through the window - the doors don't open. If you can get through the window though, you can drive.

It is stick shift.

They have different driver cars. My DH drove the Coca-Cola car on the last one. Actually I don't think the Petty Car was driving for the drivers - they used that in the Ride-alongs.

I'm not sure how to get to the track (I have read that WDW will get you a van to get you there?)

The do take a picture of you in the car and by the car. There is a cost, although I can't remember and it was a while ago (we did buy each of them).

I'm not sure if they will take a picture of you with your own camera during the posing section since they are trying to get everyone done at the time so you can get out on the track. However, you are welcome to bring your own camera, if you have spectators with you, they can take pictures of you whenever and also videotape you.

My DH thought it was worth every penny (considering we made vacations out of it to do the drive TWICE! Once at Charlotte, NC and once at Atlanta, GA -the first time was a surprise gift I gave him for the Rookie Experience and he loved it so much that he wanted to do it again! He then did the higher experience).

Hope this helps some.

2. Do they offer any discounts w/AAA and if so, how much? yes, varies
3. Is this done daily or only on certain days?
4. Do you have to book this ahead of time and if so, how?
5. Is there a height/weight minimum/maximum?
6. If you drive, is it a stick shift or automatic? you must be able to drive a stick7. How is the ride along? Is it worth the $$?
8. Do they have different driver cars (i.e. Tony's #20, Dale's #8, etc.) or are they all #45?
9. How do you get to the track if you are not renting a car? How do you get back from the track? you can get to the track on the RP shuttle at the TTC. They also bring you back in the shuttle. Nice little van. They have alot, run every 15 minutes or so.10. Do they take pictures of you by & in the car? If so, is there a cost and how much is it? Would they take pictures of you using your camera? the photos started at $59.00 I believe. the one with you beside the car and in the car was $79.00 i think...They won't take a picture for you, but I was able to film my son-in-law, video, still pictures, but we still bought the souvier photos. They are really nice.

It was the highlight of his trip. We won't be able to go back unless he does this again.....
