That is my most favorite commercial EVER! I love that little dude.

He was a gentle, loving soul, not the least aggressive, he was just big. Anyway, he used to have a white puffy teddy bear that he carried with him everywhere. Of course, it was white for about 5 minutes after coming out of the wash, because it would get grungy rather quickly. He also knew all his toys by name and would know where he had left them. He was the smartest, best dog ever. He died 15 years ago and I still miss him. We buried the teddy bear, his favorite ball, blanket and bone with him.
That is the sweetest thing! And yes dogs know which toys they like best. I get bogart some toys that he doesn't ever play with. And then he has "loofa dog" (like the one in the commercial) and this crazy toy called "big mean kitty" and he almost always has.MeanLaureen said:Okay, get ready to call me a nutcase. That commercial makes me want to cry..![]()

Wait wait wait.. let me explain.
My baby boy Reilly (apricot poodle in my signature) LOVES his "babies". He has since he was a puppy. When he was just a pup he had a favorite baby like the dog and BoBo, only his was "Night Night" baby. Yes, the dog can identify the babies by the names we give them. He's not a dog, he's a furry person.. I'm just sayin'
Anyway, this baby went everywhere with him. Outside to go peepee's, inside to torture sisters, and finally at the end of the day, he took it to bed with him (hence the name Night Night baby)
That thing (it's actually a plush Booda Kangaroo) is beat all to heck, the arms are dangling off, it's nappy, stinky and half bald. But he loves it. If it springs a hole, I have to sew it for him. And all the time I am sewing it, he sits nearby and cries until he gets it back. I think its on it's fourth or fifth squeaker.
Reilly is 6 now and he has decided that Night Night baby doesn't need to follow him around all the time anymore since he has 30000 babies (spoiled, I know) BUT, he insists that Night Night baby stay on our bed in a place of honor and his sisters are NOT allowed to touch it.
I get all choked up at the commercial because it makes me think of how that little Apricot puppy would cry his eyes out when I would be sewing Night Night baby back up or when the squeaker would die and I'd have to perform a "squeaker-ectomy". If I had ever thrown that thing away on him when he was asleep he would have been upset beyond words and in turn, I would feel like the most guilty doggie mama in history. So, I'll tolerate the nappy, stinky, half bald, arms hanging off Night Night baby taking up 4 inches on my bed because for some reason, that dog loves it so much.

"Mom" throws it out and they go to Petsmart to buy a new one. My favorite part is when the clerk lifts the dog up and scans the toy while the dog still has it in his mouth.
I actually like all their commercials and it is where I shop for my cats and birds.
