Zen -

Your picture needs to be hosted somewhere on the internet for it to show up. based on this address it looks like you are directing it to your hard drive..

Just an FYI as I want to see your baby :)

We have 4 cats & 4 dogs. All but 1 are rescues/saves. Max was a stray when we moved into our house 3 yrs ago. George was another stray that wondered into our house and he kept us. Jake (& sister Lola rip) we found in a bathroom in the wall they were about 1wk old. Jack is 10 months and is Mama Max's baby. Our yorkies Grace (11y) & Lillie (10y) were rescued from a shelter almost 3 yrs ago. Casey (5y chichuahua)we got from craigslist. His owners couldn't handle him and a new baby. And Abbie (we think about 9y chi/pug mix) our chug was a stray someone found and posted on craigs list.

We have a dog and a cat, both adopted from local shelters. Dreyfuss (named after the dog from the show Empty Nest because they look alike) was adopted almost 9 years ago, around the age of 1. He is a golden retriever/St. Bernard mix, and thinks he is a lap dog. Our cat, Miss Kitty (yeah, we're real creative people:idea:) was adopted 10 months ago today and she will be about 3 in June. She is a long hair gray & white. She got her name because she is such a princess, but we felt that was too common a name. I have a picture of her (not recent-her hair is much longer now) but none of Dreyfuss. :confused3

Great thread! Here are my babies, Barney (10), Fred (9), George (8), and Stanley (almost 1)! They're all miniature dachshunds.

We have miniature dachshunds as well!!!

They are Lady & Shadow.

Lady is a Black Lab
Shadow is a Rottweiler/Chow Mix

They both have been spoiled rotten by my parents.

Great Thread.
We have 2 Shelties. Often refered to as "The Boys".

Sheldon is 9.

Strider is the one on the right. He was a rescue dog and he is 10.
The one in the middle is Bella my brothers dog we were watching her while they were in Texas for Christmas. This was a very hard picture to take lol.

My Goldie looks like Strider. Such beautiful shelties. I'll get pics of mine up eventually.

We have 4 cats, all rescues. They all have their own unique set of problems, although you'd never know it.

This is Diz. We found her on our porch (we live in the country). She has a problem with her equilibrium. If she looks up at the ceiling or shakes her head, she falls over. She uses the walls to guide her around. $1,000 later, and no diagnosis - they think she may have just been born that way. She's my hero - she never lets it bother her, and she tries one new thing almost every day.

This is Sophi - our latest front porch rescue. She has asthma, but she takes meds for it, so she's still able to run like a banshee.

This is Trixie. She was born with kidney disease, and we currently give her I.V. fluids twice a week. She seems comfortable and happy, and would kill us in our sleep for whipped cream.

This is Trixie's brother, Tucker. He's the only ailment-free pet in the house, unless you count insanity.

I have 2 dogs - Golden Retrievers. Their names are Nathan & Bailey. Nathan is named after one of my favorite people in the world , Nathan Lane :goodvibes

We have 2 cats - Gabby (9 years old) and Charming (1 year old. Named him Prince Charming because he was the only boy in the litter). We had a third cat but just had to put her down last November. Still miss her terribly.

This is our Baby Girl, my mother-in-law found her at her apt complex back in the summer of 2005. She is just the sweetest thing. I was not a cat person before her, but she sure changed my mind!!!!

100_0018.jpg

Beautiful! She looks just like the tortie that we have at home. Her name is Caffe Mocha -because of the black and brown swirls.

We also have a white German Shepard named Sparkles.

We have 1 dog and 3 kitties that let us share thier house. We have several cats that live outside and let us plant flowers and mow their yard.:goodvibes

All of our inside animals has issues....so sometimes it's more like a vet office around here.

Our dog is 7 years old. She was found by the side of the road as a puppy in a cardboard box. Her name is Holly but we call her Cuji (our female version of Cujo). She is the boss but a sweetheart. She has allergies and requires shots and daily meds. In the summer and spring she looks more like a pot belly pig because she chews her hair off.

Bubbles is the baby. She is 1 1/2 years old. She is the baby of a wild stray, She was very sick when we found her and we got up with her every hour or so to rock her because she had the flu and couldn't breath. After many vet visits and ton of $$$, she is healthy and happy. She is very loving and mischievious. She is blind in one eye due to an infection she had when we found her.

Jelly is 8 years old. She was rescued from the local animal shelter when she was 1. She has anxiety issues and "nurses" herself to sleep each night by sucking on a blanket. It's very sweet. She doesn't like change. Sometime in her past she went hungry and now panics when her food bowl gets empty. If she finds her bowl empty or moved, she will vomit. We affectionately refer to her as "the hacker".

Samantha is 18 years old. I found her in 1991 in an old trailer. Her mother was dead so I took her and her litter mates and bottle feed them. She is the only survivor. She is arthritic but still has spunk when the vaccum cleaner appears. Her favorite hobby is eating and sleeping. What a sweetie.

Butter cup lives outside. She was the baby of a wild stray. She is fully domesticated but chose to live outside and be queen of the yard. She is 4years old.

I will try to get pics of the other kitties that live outside.

We never turn away an animal. We feed our cats as well as the ones that wonder up to visit. What do they put in that meow mix anyway?:rolleyes1

Here's my Miss Kitty-

This is Marie (named after Marie from the Aristocats :) ):

This is Socks:

This is Kohlee:

And this our newest addition- Mr. Spock. He's named that because of the Star Trek emblem on his face :)

We have a few more that were strays that we took in, I just don't have pictures. Every stray in the neighborhood finds us and we just can't turn any of them away.. the other's names are Patches, Grey, and Momma. I also feed a lot of stray cats outside my apartment- I can't help but love the little furballs. I'm going to be a crazy cat lady in my elder years lol

I have a black and white french bulldog named Rory. I think he is about 6 years old, but I got him from a breeder when he was older and she wasn't sure of his age. He is the cutest dog in the world and has the best personality. He loves everyone, which if my house was getting robbed, wouldn't be a good thing, although he might lick 'em to death! His name is Rory because when he barks (which is hardly ever), he sounds like he is roaring.

I also had a fawn pug until Nov. 2009, when she passed away. That was just about the worst thing I've been through, it was so sad. So now I just have Rory. Even after all these months, he is still a little lost without the pug.

My son and I are going to WDW in August for two weeks and we're bringing Rory with us. He loves car rides, and he'll really get his fill driving to FL!

We have 8 dogs 1 cat & a horse...here are 2 of them Midgee (the doxie) is NOT happy that one of her Pointer "sisters" decided to nap in her bed

cookiejar458.jpg

We have 4 Chihuahuas. Peepers, Darby, Daisy and Duke. We thought Peepers was blind when she was born so we named her Peepers.

Our Corgi, Bailey, is pictured in my siggie. I'd love to adopt a cat or another dog, but I'm lucky my dh lets us have 1 animal in the house. He's not exactly an "animal in the house" kinda guy, although Bailey does sleep with us on occasion. I think he just gave up on that argument.;)

We have two dogs a husky - Mario and a shephard mix - Jenny

I feel guilty everytime we go on vacation and leave them behind.
