Do all 3 onsite hotels allow pets? If so, does this pose a problem? Don't get me wrong. . . I love my pets. I read a post that said they heard a dog barking all night long. I just really don't want to go to a nice 4-5 star hotel & hear a dog barking all the time. (my dog barks enough at home & quite frankly, I love him, but I enjoy the time away from that!)

Also - are there rooms available that do not allow pets at all? My boys are allergic to some animals, so I'd rather not risk getting a room where there have been pets.

Pet lovers - please don't take me wrong. . . I really do love pets - I was just concerned about a post I read a few days ago.

Yes, all 3 allow it.

Never been a problem for me.

Tell us which hotel you're staying at, and we'll tell you what the pet section is. Each hotel has pets confined to one area/certain rooms. I know RPR has the pets in Tower 2. HRH somewhere on the first floor. Not sure about PBH.

If you have allergies, etc, simply have it noted on your reservation that you don't want a pet room, and confirm at check-in that the room you received isn't designated a pet room.

Thanks so much! I really appreciate the info.:worship:

Also, if I remember correctly, if a pet is causing problems for other guests the owner will be required to move them to the kennel.

In all of our visits to the PBH we have never heard a dog barking. We see other guests with their pets on the trail, but that is all. None of our rooms have ever smelled of "dog" either, so the pets must be in their own section.

If I had a choice between a pet room or a smoking room....I would choose the pet room any day. We were accidentially put in a smoking room OMG...it was disgusting, we were transferred out fast....it was like staying inside a giant ashtray.

I am right there with you on that one!

Thanks everyone for your input - you put my mind at ease. I had a hard time believing that a nice resort like those would allow for a lot of barking. :worship:

I was told at PB that pets are in the ground floor rooms. We
have stayed there numerous times and only had a problem
once. We had a ground floor room- facing the villa pool and the
room next door had two dogs in it. The owners were gone all
night and the dogs NEVER stopped barking. We did not complain
because we were leaving the next day.

As soon as I know where we will be staying, I'll let you know so that you can help me with the area! Thanks so much. I really appreciate it.
