Are all the 1600 - 1900 full hook up sites pet loops? If so and I am not a pet owner and don't want to be around pets while camping, then I will have to pay more for a preferred loop?

Yes all full are pet loops. 100 and 200 are not designated pet loops. However there could be pets/dogs in any loop. The Fort uses all loops as overflow and there now could be pets in any loop at any time.

We are not traveling pet campers either and I was concerned about barking dogs and such when camping. I have to save that it has never been an issue at all and we go to the Fort a good bit camping. So if it is the barking you are concerned about, it might not be as bad as you are thinking. Just remember that all dogs bark at sometime, but it has never been that bad and most keep their pets in their RVs.

I have never been to a campground that doesn't allow pets, so I always am surprised at people here who are concerned about pet/non-pet loops. Any other campground I've been to doesn't have any type of designation. People camp with their pets.

As for FW, while they try to designate non-pet loops, I have seen pets in them as well. Most pet-owners keep them contained and are responsible, though.

I am surprised at people who think no one should ever raise the issue or ask questions about how the Disney policy works.

I can absolutely understand people not wanting to be on a pet loop while at FW. While we do camp with our shepherd mix at state parks and such, but we can hike and spend the day out with the dog all day... at FW I would never consider bringing her. We would be at the parks all day leaving her in the camper alone and I think she would be very miserable. Even on days we didn't go to the parks, there are few places we could take her. You can't take dogs on the beach at FW, or most places really... and the dog park area is usually crowded. For her enjoyment...we board her where she gets lots of attention and we aren't locking her up all day alone. As well.... if a dog barks excessively... you will be asked by FW staff to board off site and those places around Disney aren't cheap. I know I wouldn't want to listen to a barking dog that has been locked up in a camper and their owners are out. I know there have been times when it sounded like a kennel in the loop we were in.... not always, but at times. We had a loop neighbor one year get so many complaints (we never heard it since we were usually at the parks) that they were asked to board the dog... this was when FW had their own boarding on site. I would just not take a chance. Yes... dogs do bark at sometime... but excessive barking is hard to deal with.
