assuing the ash cloud lets us fly out we still need to be prepared, when it comes to spending money imn ot sure how much petrol will cost is it more expensive than the uk ? 1.38 a ltr at our local BP does anyone know how much a ltr is over there ?

It was just under $4 per Gallon last week. 1 US Gallon is about 3.78 Litres.

but beware some gas stations do charge a lot more I saw one at $5.99.


I had a small Jeep and drove nearly 300 miles in a week, and it cost me $45 to refill before taking it back to the airport. Now I wish I could fill up for $45 in UK

Gas prices are currently going down here in the US. With Memorial Day coming up, I am keeping my fingers crossed that the prices will continue to go down. Normally, once we hit Memorial Day prices tend to go up because that is the beginning of summer travel season.
