Just seen on the news that Elmsmere Port has been blockaded again and the protests have restarted.....which leaves me with a dilema if the pumps run dry again like in 2000.

Yesterday I used the last of my green petrol can on my lawnmower.

Now, do I fill it up with petrol again for the lawnmower, or do I fill it up with diesel for the car ?

In otherwords, do I risk not being able to mow the lawn, or not being able to get to work......

I think I already know the answer, and it doesnt involve grass being allowed to grow :-)

LOL i got to the petrol station this morning, and it was very busy, I have half a tank of petrol.
My work is a 60 mile round trip, so guess I'll be mowing the lawn in the next few days if it continues!!!

I hadn't heard this, it was chaotic last time. Luckily as DH is an "essential worker" he gets an allowance, and as he needs to have a second car as a back up, and I work with him, though only a few hours, I get a small amount as well.

Oh no not again.

Great excuse for not mowing the lawn if you ask me

It's a real nuisance isn't it. I topped my car up this morning, and the petrol station was quiet, not the mad scenes of 5 years ago - thank goodness !!

I've just filled up and there was no sign of panic buying. I was the only car on the forecourt :)

There is no sign of any problems in my neck of the woods (Suffolk). I think someone is getting people panicking for no reason. I am sure it is get plastered all over the media, when and if, it kicks off again

Same here, but then it was about 5:30AM !

I don't think there will be any panic yet, it will take a week or so for that I would have thought.

Theres an article on the bbc website if anyone who hasnt seen any news is interested.

Its been on the new that the protesters are not actually blocking the tanker's in,so petrol is still been delivered as usual.
