Peter Pans Flight...why the wait?

Because PP is enjoyed by the whole family, young and old, the attraction is included in every touring plan. Add in low loading and capacity and that folks do really love this ride (me included), and you have a ride that continues to be extremely popular.

By the way, the popularity has always been so. I started going to MK in the 1970s and

You've also got to add that a hefty amount of hourly capacity is given to FP+, increasing standby wait times.
Eh...it was that way in 2011..long waits with paper FPs. Do we know if they allotted more FP time slots/people than they did when the ride was under paper FPs?

There's a stoplight at the Second Star and no Right turn on red!:tink:

We always had good luck getting it as a later FP. They should be available into late afternoon.

The best way to increase capacity for Peter Pan would basically be to clone it and have a second track, kinda like how they did with TSMM. I don't know that it'd really be worth it, but that's the only way I could see it working. They'd probably have to redo all of the animatronics in the original too because I doubt they could give the cloned version that same, retro look, and that might take away from the experience too. Also, Philharmagic would have to go as that's the only available space.

Now that I type this out, I don't think it'd be worth it!

I get that it's slow loading and low capacity but my last trip in 2012 waits were 10 minutes even around 10am. The ships haven't changed.

I'm not saying you're lying.

I've gone to WdW twice per year since 2010 (16 trips)

I was at MK Columbus Day weekend 2011 during a tropical storm.

I went to WDW in August 2015 when a hurticane was predicted and attendance plumetted. It was by far the fewest people at WDW I've ever seen.

I've gone in Jan, Feb, March, April, July, August, September, and October.

I've NEVER seen PPF with a 10 minute wait at 10 AM.

It has a 10 minute wait for the first 30 min after rope drop and a 10 minute wait after 11:30 pm.

It routinely had 60+ during 10AM - 10 PM with the exception of my two hurricane trips when it was 40 minutes during the day.

I'm not saying you're lying. Maybe you did a trip in 2012 during the slowest possible week.

Finding same day FP+ for PPF has not seemed very difficult. Just refresh often and there are usually options fairly regularly.

It's clear that PP is the new Dumbo. Slow loading, low capacity. It's the new "Straight to at rope drop" ride (thus the reason for my screen name before they added an additional set of elephants). I don't consider it worthy of a FP, but always make it number one at RD these days.

We just got back from DL and it had a consistent long wait out there too and it's a non-Fastpass ride. We all love the ride but the lowest we saw was 40 min which isn't too bad but we only had one day there and were trying to do all of the stuff that MK doesn't have so we never made it on there.
