Hi all- I have read in one book that PPF is not suitable for small children?? I was under the impression that it was a fave for many children so I was confused when I saw this. I read in another book that the "scare factor" was minimal. I am confused. It is a "gentle" ride, right?

My youngest princess is 3 and obsessed with Peter Pan (not Tink as many little girls) so she is really looking forward to this ride and seeing PP during our trip.
Any advice from those who have been on PPF with a little one?? ALso, any hints of where to find PP would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks!

The Peter Pan ride is just fine for a 3 year old, even a timid one. I usually find Peter Pan over in Toontown in the tent.

The Peter Pan ride will be perfect for your Pan-obsessed 3 year old. The "cars" are pirate ships that "fly" above and beside the scenes from the story. You'll fly out of the nursery, over a scene of London, through other scenes depicting the Lost Boys, the mermaids and the pirate ship. It's a great ride - nothing scary unless you feel a bit unsettled while adjusting to the flight of the ship, which is very gentle. Peter Pan is one of our family favorites!!!

I think PPF should be fine. The SSA is a different story, but PPF is gentle and plesant, and really fun, because the little ones really think your boat is flying. I also see PP over in Adventureland across from POC. Stop at the Plaza where they keep the info board and ask the Guest Services person where the best place to meet and greet PP that day is. He usually appears with Wendy. Have fun!!

I am so glad that everyone seems to think it is a "suitable" ride for pre-schoolers. I was thrown when I read the first book b/c I always thought it was a good ride for little ones. Whew! glad to hear it is b/c my little one would want to be on it, regardless!! We looked on disney.com for the pics of it and she just squealed

Oh my goodness- thanks for the advice on where to find Peter. I plan to print out a list of your suggestions and will take it with me. I really hope we can see him. I have told her we MAY see him but he may be busy or visiting family for the holidays (!?!) since we will be there around Christmas so as to not get her hopes up. I did manage to get the CRT so she will at least see her 2nd fave there.
Thanks again all! (and if there are other suggestions for finding Peter, pls let me know!!)

Hey Paisleyjane, I can't figure out what SSA is??

I took my 9 month old and my 3 year old on it and they loved it, we are big tink and peter pan fans so we waited 90 min to get on, the baby naped, bless her little soul and my DD4-3 at the time played games with me spotting peoples silly hats so it was a good ride.......we actually snuck on it again.......But the Snow white ride, is a bit frightening!!! If your child is a scared of the dark, they have great flashlights with either princess or winnie the pooh at target for 3.99, we just got one for DD4 and she loves it!!! Good Luck!!

I think she means Snow whites Scary Adventure.

DD3 loved all the rides and had to go on all Fantasyland first thing we got to MK each day of our trip (Spent 1 in Epcot then two in MK then 1 in MGM then 2 in MK). Pirates, Snow White, Peter Pan, Jungle, and Haunted Mansion she loved and still talks about.

Snow White's Scary Adventures is what I am guessing! Very scary ride for young kids with that witch!

I think they wrote the scare factor as minimal because it's in the dark. Nothing scary on the ride itself but some children don't like the dark and might by afraid to ride alone.

SSA is Snow White's Scary Adventure...depending on your child, this ride might be ok too. We've gone on this one every time with our kids since they were 8 months old. As long as we sit next to them & talk to them about things - they are fine.

Peter Pan is a MUST see for kids of all ages. Nothing scary about that ride at all.

I was suprised to see that Peter Pan would of been given a scare factor level. I think it's pretty timid. My 16 month old neice did fine, and she didn't like much.
We have actually yet to get Peter Pan or Wendy's Photo/autograph. They have been one of just a few that seem to elude us. Anyhow, we did see them near POTC- unfortunately, they were going on break. I know others have had no trouble finding them.

Here is a picture of DD with Wendy. Saw her outside of Pirates. Found Mr. Smee in toonfair. Peter Pan and friends can be seen outside of Pirates - but we didn't see them when we were there.

Regarding the ride..........also don't forget that it's only like 2 1/2 minutes long so it shouldn't be a problem.

We just got back and took my DD who was 7mo the first time and 12mo this time. It is a very smooth ride !
