I've booked a FP for Peter Pan Flight ride for our arrival day (first time slot in case we don't make it there on time) and then for the next day at MK. It seems like a great ride the whole family can enjoy (DS9 and DD5).

Is it worthwhile to ride it more than once, or is it a one time ride? I could change our arrival FP one to Winnie the Pooh...but I still have that attraction in our list to ride it the next day, but just not as a FP.

I think it's worth it, it's one of my favourite rides! :good vibes The wait time for Peter Pan is usually longer than Pooh, so I would keep the fast pass for Peter Pan, and do stand by for Pooh.

Which makes me think of a joke I heard from one of the boat drivers on our trip last week. Why does Tigger bounce? So he doesn't step on Pooh! :rotfl:

Peter Pan is my favorite ride at Disney, it holds very special meaning to me and I wouldn't hesitate to use a FP on it as the line can get ridiculous. lol I can't wait to ride it again, and would definately do it twice if possible!

It's my favorite ride in all of Disney, but we only ride it once. Just a tradition thing with us. But yes, it's a great ride and definitely worth doing twice if you don't have a tradition thing going. ;)

Thanks for the replies. I'll keep both Peter Pan FPs. Sounds like it's worthwhile.

We rode it at least 5 times on our recent trip. For me it's nostalgic. One of the few Fantasyland rides that was there in the 70s when I first started going that is still there. DS9 loves the story of Peter Pan and enjoys the ride as much as I do. We love the music, the details, and the fact that you are "flying" in a pirate ship.

After the first 3 times I realized that we'd both always been sitting on the same side of the vehicle so we intentionally switched to get a slightly different perspective the next couple of times we rode it.

We had a FP for it for each of our MK days.

After you ride it the first day you can decide if you want to do it again and switch the FP for Pooh if you don't. We always rode Pooh close to rope drop and always walked right on. We actually wanted to linger in the queue some more because it's fun.

I always felt bad for the people waiting in the Peter Pan queue because it was being refurbed and they were standing in the sun/rain part of the time. Not sure of the completion date for that.

It depends on you. I know people love it. We rode it once on our FP+ and thank God we did. We waited abut 2 minutes to board and both thought that was too long for that ride... I don't know if it was just that is was too dark for me to see much (I don't have the best eyesight, but found myself squinting a lot trying to make things out).

But each to their own. If you love it, you'll want to ride it more than once, and the lines do get long. If you book it more than once and don't enjoy it, you can always change the later FP+ for something else.

If they would let my mom get on PPF and stay on it all day, she would. Every time anyone mentions Disney, that's the first thing she mentions. It's definitely a must do at least once while at MK.

DH & I love it too, probably for similar reasons to Figment Mom. A trip to WDW isn't complete without riding PP at least once! Given all the other rides we want to do we usually FP it only once but if we had time we'd do it more. As PPs have said the standby line is usually ridiculously long so I agree - use your FP+ the first day and then decide whether to change the 2nd one to Pooh (which I love too but DH doesn't!).

Depends if your a PP fan. i like the ride. my DW loves the ride but if you dont FP you could be in for a 60+ min wait depending on the time of the year.

Worth it? Yes Yes and more Yes! I know some people say it's a stupid kid ride, and it's a long wait for just a (barely) 2 minute ride, but it's so lovely and perfectly Disney that it's hard not to ride it just once!

On my golden birthday we rode that and Small World about 6 times! A golden birthday is our family's thing, it's when you turn the same age as the day you were born. I was born on the 4 of Sept, so I was 4 on the 4th! My family took me to Disney, and we still talk about the fact that we went back and forth between the two rides! Eventually, they had to peel me away from them.

Do make FPs for it, since it's a reallllyyy slow loader. I would either get there at RD, make FP for it, or ride it at park close. Anything to NOT stand in the line which can get up to 1 hour!

We love Peter Pan! It's not a Disney trip without it. We always ride it several times.

Firstly Peter Pan is probably still one of the best attractions in all of the Disney Parks. The only thing about double riding attractions is that whilst you get to see more of ride, you can also notice the flaws. I think keeping the magic alive is more important than over indulging so to speak.

Mine Train will alleviate the Peter Pan wait times no doubt, so less important to have FP+.

I used to rope drop Pan (on least busiest times of year I might add, like May and September for instance), and you could easily ride it twice without a wait if you wanted to.

I'm doing 7DMT as first thing, couldn't get an FP+ either, so hope it's not closed or broken when we go.

Wow...had no idea. I thought it was one of the newer rides (but guess Peter Pan is a classic story so I shouldn't be surprised).

Those people are stupid for saying its stupid! PP Is the best ride in FantasyLand and well worth a FP or first ride at RD

:lmao:

Sounds like a great ride. Am keeping both FPs, and as people said, we can change our second FP if our kids don't want to ride again.

It sounds like a great one to me though (and not sure we'll make RD as we plan on staying late...well, except for one of the MK days that is a party night)

We prefer Peter Pan to Pooh. Others will say otherwise. Regardless, according to EasyWDW CheatSheets, wait times for Peter Pan are likely to be double that of Pooh by 11am.

A plan of attack, as you've likely read, is to be at Park opening and get on those 'must-do' rides as soon as possible when the lines are shortest. You can chose to ride Pooh before Peter Pan FP+, or, you might ride Peter Pan, then Pooh, before utilizing a Peter Pan FP+.

And for what it's worth, once our then 4 y.o. was tall enough (40") to ride both Splash Mountain & Big Thunder Mountain, Pooh & Peter Pan became non-events. Splash Mountain is also over 10 minutes long; Pooh & Peter, about 3 minutes each.

I love both PP and Pooh, but I usually ride Pooh just once, where I try to ride PP once very time I go to the MK.

Peter pan is one of the most visually beautiful Disney movies and this ride has plenty of the that lovely color and beauty. I love flying high over London, and when I was a kid (long before Little Mermaid) I wanted to be one of the Mermaids in the lagoon.

Great, thanks. As in my original post, the first FP is on arrival day so this won't be rope drop. First full MK day, the plan is to first head to Non-FP attractions such as Dumbo, Barnstormer, and Pooh. Our Peter Pan FP on this day is for early afternoon. So sounds like it's a good idea to keep with this plan.

It's a bit dated, like IASW, but its retro feel is part of its considerable charm. Sailing through the Darling's window over London is wonderful, and with the top mounted railings, you feel as if you're really 'flying'.

Sometimes the older rides are the best!

PP is the only ride that I have rode every time I have been to Walt Disney World. Now when I went in the 70s for the first trip the other 3 parks were not even built so they are all off this list as are many MK attractions. IT is a great nostalgic ride but I am OK with only doing it once on a trip. I would keep the 2 PP ride FPs. There is a good chance with Winnie that you can get an extra FP from a Kiosks at a reasonable time.
