Peter Pan, and Snow White all getting live action remakes

Do you think it is a good idea? What do you feel about the live action versions?

At this point I'm starting to feel it's nothing more than a "tend" to remake all the classics.
I loved Cinderella and I'm looking forwards to The Jungle Book but at this point it's getting old.

I am hoping whoever they cast as Hook does a good job, however.

i say no because soon kids will grow up with the live action and has for peter pan we have had 3 movies so far live action about it hook, peter pan that came out in 04 i think and the new pan one that came out last year maybe which i did like.

For me, it depends on the quality of the movie. We shall see how these films do. Disney's obviously counting on their success with plans for more live adaptations including "Beauty and the Beast" and the long delayed "Jungle Cruise." I'll reserve judgement on these until I check them out!

Cinderella was visually stunning but it fell flat to me. Jungle Book was amazing. Not a fan of Emma Watson so I'm worried I won't enjoy Beauty, but I have high hopes for it. I'm really only on board with the live action if they give it a fresh take and some new content, like with Jungle. Otherwise, I'd just watch the original.

Dumbo is happening, and it's supposed to be directed by Tim Burton.

I feel that Beauty and the Beast has the most potential, and I really hope they at least sing Be Our Guest.

Even if you don't think it's a good idea, even if you think it's a terrible idea, no remake will ever remove the original from existence. This means that even if you loathe with all your being any sort of remake/boot/imagaining, you can take comfort in knowing that the one you love still exists and can be watched by you anytime you like.

I would normally be pretty skeptical of all this, but right now Disney is really firing on all cylinders creatively. They've been making some very good movies and some very good money too. At other times in the company's history, I'd be against it., but I see no reason not to continue making these as long as they are both excellent quality and popular.

I think Snow White would be pretty interesting if they do one like Maleficent with perhaps the Evil Queen's point of view, maybe give the Prince more character? I enjoy the live actions because sometimes they add more to a certain character or to the story of a classic which is always fun. Peter Pan is a little over done but maybe one focusing on Wendy or Tink more?

They seemed to do okay with The Jungle Book. Snow White has already had remakes? Peter Pan as well!

Hopefully these ones will be decent though! I just posted another remake that's in the works... Mary Poppins!
