Pete is right - Go see the Star Wars fireworks show!

Pete said on the show that the Star Wars Galactic Spectacular show at DHS is amazing. I believe he said he liked it even better than Wishes. We saw it for the first time tonight. OMG! Disney really outdid themselves with this one. My wife put it best when she said it was "pure Disney". None of us are big Star Wars fans but that didn't matter one bit. The show is very aptly named - Spectacular.

If you are in town for the Mega Meet, carve out an evening to get over and see this. If you're coming any other time, do the same. It is well worth it.

Cindy, calling it a fireworks show is almost a misnomer. The fireworks are just accents to the main show which is a multimedia projection and laser show. You should check it out.

We are doing the dessert party on Saturday and very excited. From what I read having a good view is important so having the dessert party avoids having to camp out for like an hour with 3 little kids - at least that is my justification (though the open bar helps too )

Saturday might be worse than Wednesday but last night really wasn't bad. We got there just before 9 (9:30 show time). We got an excellent spot just off center. Shortly before show time, they had everyone stand up and move forward which made our spots even better because we moved up a good 15-20 feet. It just didn't seem terribly crowded yesterday. And people weren't all territorial like they always seem to be at MK. I think the humidity just made everyone more laid back.

So they have 4 signature drinks that are included but I've heard the bartenders will mix up other options based on what they have on hand - so can do run and cokes, etc

No beer or wine though

Yeah, I watched the 4k video The Dis put up. If I had more time in the parks I might go see it, but I'm so limited on this trip that I'd have a hard time justifying it. Plus being in that big of a crowd had me freaking out just watching the video

Didn't the desert party move indoors and there is no preferred places to stand.. you do really want to be near the middle, nearish to the stage with clean view of the buildings in front of you.

great show but I love fireworks so it's hard to have a bad one.. I did like the old star wars show better but this is great in a different way.

The party is inside but then you are led to roped off area to watch fireworks. It's a little smaller than when they had the tables there too, but still set up for good view

How is it getting out of the parking lot after the show and if you stay by the exits can you get a good view ,I hate being stuck in traffic thanks

Traffic hasn't been as horrible as the first week this premiered but there can be nights where it's not as great. Overall it's not a problem as they have found the magic way to do fantasmic and the fireworks where it spreads it everyone leaving better..

I would recommend not trying to stand that far back, to really get the full effect of the 360 sound, lasers, spotlights, tree lighting you want to be in near the middle if possible. It's not horrible if you must watch it elsewhere but it's the best when you get yourself into the middle of it.
