Listening to the solo show where you commented about DVC and wanting to buy. Having just gotten off the Dream, we found their offer (on board only) to be the best available. In addition to the fairly routine offer of $x off of x# of points, [for example; $16 off 160 points] they had an added incentive of a $500 onboard credit if you signed while aboard.
So, wait until you get Walter back on a DCL ship and go to the DVC presentation for the best deal. Maybe buy him a few drinks beforehand.
