Pete.......DIS lanyard question

[Mickey's sunshine]

I was wondering if it is possible for people not going to the convention could still get a lanyard. Maybe after the convention is over? I will not be attending, may come up for the night to go to dinner with some DIS people but cant afford the events and I would like one of the lanyards if that is possible. Have extras made and sell them....I would buy one. Just an idea. Thanks for the time.

I think that's a great idea Mickey's sunshine! There's probably quite a few people who would like one. I know if I can't make it to the convention I would buy one afterwords, and I'm sure they could use the revenue!

Actually, I think that is a great idea and may be easier to spot at the parks instead of the lime green ribbon!!

I like Disney buttons though, and I do have some Disney pins that I bought for ME that I would proudly wear around my neck! ((you don't suppose a 'pin trader' would come up to me and want to "trade" with me do you? I hope not. :rolleys: Maybe I'll leave my precious babies at home. ))

I don't pin trade either, and could never stand that weight around my neck !
But as I understand it, the lanyard will hold each participants event tickets in a clear plastic ID type holder.

My DH and I are looking forward to getting the lanyards, but not for pin trading. We do buy pins, but as luvdnsy said "for me [us]". We would never think of trading my pins since we only buy pins that we want to keep and we never buy duplicates, unless we both want the same pin.

I do not pin trade either but I thought it would be a great thing to wear when at the parks becasue they would be easy to notice fellow DISers. (especially if they were lime green). I do have a couple pins and my MVMCP pin so that would be a great place to have them.

Actually, a lime green lanyard is an excellent idea. After all, that's the color we all use to identify other DIS members. Just a side note here, if you wear pins on your lanyard you may have people approach you to trade. Just politely tell them you're not trading. They'll understand. I am not a super trader and usually just trade with CM's. I didn't start wearing my lanyard until the second half of my trip because I thought it would be too heavy. Surprisingly, it wasn't really that bad. I will probably put a few pins on it just for fun. But, not my DIS convention pin. That's not for trade, ever!
