pet souvenier

Jack, the Shih Tzu, has a Mickey T and a Mickey head charm for his collar. Everyone refers to his charm as his bling.

Our little pekingese, Tasha, likes to dress up. We bought her the Minnie bows to go in her hair (red with white polka dots and Minnie's face) and a hat. It looks like a princess hat - pink with sequins and a sparkly scarf and Minnie ears on either side.

She looks so cute in it..... :lovestruc

My animals love the treats. We get both the Dog and Cat treats. We also get stuffed Animals that match our Animals names, since our animals are all named after Disney characters and are Border Collie loves to chew off the appendages.

I think we have gone through about 6 Daisy Ducks and 2 Roo's.

They have way more stuff for dogs than cats. I wanted to get my kitty a toy but they all have catnip in them and I don't give him catnip. I ended up getting him a dish. I don't think he much cares about it but I think it's cute.

Why no catnip? Is he addicted? :teeth:
My cats love it.
My dog has a Winnie the Pooh collar and leash I bought her about four years ago. She looks great in it, it matches her eyes!
Ok OP, I know you said other then leash..

:lmao: We have this shirt for our Boston too. He looks so funny when he wears it. We think he already looks like Stitch so it was a great buy.

We also got him a bandana on one trip that says...my human when to Walt Disney World and all I got was this stupid bandana. Or something like that. He looks pretty cute in it too....but I am biased :teeth:

Neat thread...

They've cut back on the pet stuff (particularly for cats) lately, but here's my favorites:

-My cat Marie (the brown cat in my sig) has the Marie ID Tag with charm (the charm just fell off, though. I have to get a new one), with her name engraved on it. For the record, the black cat's name is Oliver. Yes, I named my cats after Disney characters. You're not suprised, are you :thumbsup2

-Okay (unfortunately?) for me my cats love those Cat Breath Fresheners in the red tin. Yeah, the primary ingredient is liver, folks....ugh! They love them, though. If I leave the tin out, they lick the tin! The first time I bought them was for my sister's cats, and, not realizing the whole liver end of the deal, I merely put them in my suitcase (with, of all things, bath bombs from Basin - had to throw those out!). Well, my entire suitcase (clothes, everything) smelled like liver when I got home! So, last summer I decided to buy some for my own cats, but I was armed with the knowledge of the stench. The man at Disney Tails wrapped the tin in layers of paper, then it was put into three (3!!!) bags. You guessed it, my bag still stunk. Even with all that insulation. The things I'll do for my babies...

-Oh, favorite toy...the 4-pack of balls, with Marie, Cheshire, Figaro, and Si (or is it Am?). Oliver brings it to me at night and likes to play fetch (yeah, my cats are weird, I know). He loves fetch with those balls.

I have three little long-haired chihuahuas. One item I bought at Tinkerbell's Treasures was a small purple satin pillow with Tink's picture inscribed on one side. They love to lay their heads on that.

And since my fur babies are so tiny, I found that if you find the key chains with a stuffed Disney character hanging off, they make a wonderful chew and play toy once you cut the chain-part of the key chain off. All that's then left is the stuffed Mickey or stuffed Minnie, or stuffed Pooh (you get the picture).

Normally the keychain is attached to the stuffed character with a small thread. I just cut the thread and away they go. There are no parts of the stuffed characters that can come off (therefore, no choking hazards). My fur babies are crazy about their little toys. Makes them feel "all powerful" since they are now larger than their toys! :teeth:

On our Christmas of 2005 trip we brought back a bandanna for our Boston Terrier Buddy. As weird as it sounds when you took this thing off of him he would chase you around till you put it back on him. Unfortunately I buried Buddy in his bandanna just a couple of weeks ago , he was eleven years old and died of old age the doc said.

micksterlee - Sorry to hear about Buddy...my heart goes out to you, we are probably going to have to put my cat down very shortly :sad1:

Last trip I got my dog Belle a Tinkerbell name tag, engraved with her name and phone#, and also some of those doggy breath mints that come in a pluto tin. I wanted to get her the princess hat or ears, but I knew she would not been impressed!!!

Doesn't sound strange at all! My yellow lab does the same thing when we take his collar off for any reason. He gets very upset that someone is messing with his "stuff" apparently...makes me laugh everytime because he's normally super laid back (except for the licking).

I'm very sorry to hear about Buddy's passing. I'm sure he was a HUGE part of your life and I hope that you have fond memories for years to come. You're in my thoughts.

I got my collies a plastic ball, about 3" in diameter, that you can record a message in, and everytime the ball is adjatated, the recording plays. Collies are "talkers," and they absolutely love the toy. DH barked into it, so it is especially funny to hear them playing with it, all the barking!

The ball is red and white and has the Dalmations on it. It was on clearance when I picked it up mid-August.

We got our dog (would that be DG?) a squeaky turkey leg and a set of the dog bowls. I love seeing the dog bowls in the kitchen every day.
Next year I want to get him a stitch dog tag in MK.

Ahhh, but there's nothing for those of us with bird friends!!

-------------------------------------------------------------------
Dear Disney -

I would love a small birdie mirror that looks like the one from Snow White for my bird's cage or a mini-pinata with Mickey ears for my Priss Pot to rip into shreds, or even birdie treats would net you more of my money next week or in December, or next February...

Thank you!!!!!!!

Oh my, I am so so sorry. It's just nice to know that he is with his bandana that apparently he loved very much. :grouphug:

Hebe (my weimaraner) also has the bandana and a t-shirt. She has such an unusual build and looks like a body builder in it - big scoop neck and tight across the chest. I’m sure she just loves it. :sad2:
Apollo (my cat) loves that Cheshire Cat ball you put catnip in and when they pounce it lights up.

I got my Lab one of the cute little mickey head charms for his collar. The clasp soon broke though. Don't know if it was cheaply made or defective. It looked very cute dangling there while it lasted. I'll have to get him another in Nov.

I bought my pug, Ralphie, a matching water bowl and mat set that had all the famous dogs of Disney drawn on it (Pluto, Lady, Tramp, 101 Damations, Stitch, etc...). While he's not a fan of the water bowl (its made of plastic and he's used to his cold metal one), he loves to slobber all over the matching mat!

we got mickey & tigger ears for our dogs & ferret.
