Pet rooms?

Pet rooms are usually located near the designated pet walk areas on the hotel grounds. RPR the rooms are usually in Tower 2 on lower floors. HRH they are usually on the 1st floor and at PBH in the East wing on the first couple floors. The views from these rooms are some of the worst at all three hotels. No deluxe rooms, club rooms or suites are "pet" rooms although I know for a fact they make special exceptions for certain people.

Not sure if it's too late for you or not to give you this info, but actually, to the previous poster, we really could not have been happier with our room when we were there this past New Year's. We had a bay view room with a walk out door to the terrace that allowed us to take our two dogs (shepard and lab) directly outdoors at any time without going through the hallways. It was wonderful. The room was spacious enough to have both of their crates (XL) next to each other, as well as a portable fridge, our luggage, two teenage girls, it was really great. The walking area is quite spacious, with doggie pick up bags and barrels along the way. Of all the onsite hotels, PBH has the largest "standard" room at 450sq. ft. No complaints here, in fact, I've just made our reservation to return this coming New Year's, driving down from Massachusetts! Can't wait to do it all over again.

That sounds wonderful. I assume your dogs had to be crated when you were not in the room?

Yes, both dogs were crated when we weren't in the room, but they are used to being crated while we are at work during the day anyway, so it wasn't a problem. We took them for a nice long walk each morning, usually had a light breakfast at the coffee shop so they could stay with us around the terrace area of the Bay, before heading out for the day. On days we went to Universal parks, we usually got back to the room before 4:00, took them for another long walk, and almost always they had a chance to play with other dogs walking around the Bay area. We even had pool security invite them in for a swim at the smaller pool on our wing (we passed on the invite because a wet dog is a smelly dog..LOL) Not that I want to wish what we have left of the summer away, but I can't wait for December when we will do it all over again!!!
