Pet Peeves

People at the buffets who pile the shrimp onto their plate as if it was their last meal bothers me.

Also, when people who are walking behind me step on the heel of my sneekers. I hate when that happens! :sad1:

How about very large women who wear veeeery short shorts to the point where their but is spilling out. My daugher asked me one time why this lady was wearing her underwear in the park while they were just very short jean shorts on a person who should not be wearing them.

How about very large men who wear veeeery tight Tshirts to the point where you can tell they have bigger Manbosoms than most of the ladies, and need a manbra.

Not saying your pet peeve isn't valid. Just saying that men aren't always the picture of sartorial splendour either.

haha...That is true. I will give you that. I am just looking at it from a males perspective. Yea guys, quit shopping at the baby gap and wear shirts that fit you.

People who only use the right side of the line in restaurants, security check, etc. ... both sides are open, people! :headache: Then they get angry like you're butting in line by using the left side.

Definitly this! I had a lady get snarky with me at security for this and the security guard told her both sides were open then started waving some of the ppl out of the loooooong single file line behind her lol

I guess wearing my speed-o at the pools will be frowned upon. Thanks for the heads up.

ANYONE wearing short shorts....... Although I will say shorts are better than nothing....... still can't forget the "lady" I saw in GS in a short skirt, leaning over to the counter:scared::scared:

she NEEDED shorts or something for ummmm "coverage"..........

My pet peeve, not just at Disney is eating in a restaurant next to some guy in a sleeveless tank and their nasty arm pit hair is showing.. Etc.. I don't care if he's tall shirt fat thin it's gross to me. Deodorant clumps in the pit hair yuck! Sweaty pit hair yuck!

One of my pet peeves is one I haven't seen in this thread yet. People who wait in front of the fastpass entrance when its not their time, thus creating a log jam of epic porportions for those who's time is up and are trying to get to the entrance. If you get there early for your window well good for you just stand OFF TO THE SIDE until your time comes so the rest of us can enjoy the ride. Too much to ask for?:sad2:

Oh this, although it's not just fastpass. On many occasions I've been heading to a ride, then had people walk in front of me and stand in front of the entrance to the queue and talk, look around twiddle their thumbs or whatever, then give me dirty looks when I say excuse me and walk past them to enter the queue, like I'm cutting in line, even though the end of the line is all the way inside the queue.

I only have 1 real pet peeve that seems to pop up consistently.
Arriving at a spot to watch Wishes or parade an hour or two in advance to have a small snack and relax before the show and then, just as the show starts, have a group of people arrive and complain through the entire thing, that they wish they could be in our spots.:rolleyes2

That seems to happen to me a lot in shops and restaurants, too. I'll be walking in behind a group of people, and as soon as they get in the door, they stop dead in their tracks and act all shocked and amazed if you ask to get past them. Like it just never would have occurred to them in a million years that somebody MIGHT be behind them.

I have one that I ,surprisingly, haven't seen here yet....It absolutely drives me crazy when, while anywhere on Disney property, other than Magic Kingdom, someone in the group announces that their plan for the week is to go to Epcot tomorrow, Animal Kingdom the next day, then "Disney World" (referring to MK) later in the week to see the castle. C'mon people! You are IN Disney World. It is NOT a single park! :sad2:

I don't see that as a peave. That my friend is an opportunity. If they all go to the right, I go to the left and I get right through. If they get angry, and I haven't noticed that happening yet, then I can truthfully tell you that I wouldn't give it anymore then a blink. I don't judge myself based on the publics general stupidity. It would be tough for anyone to be angry at me because they were to uninformed or unconscience (you pick the right one) to figure out how it all worked. Bet they will know better next time.

:thumbsup2:thumbsup2:thumbsup2

I couldn't agree with you more. We do the same exact thing not just in the line for security check but for any line that splits into two (i.e. POTC). If we see a line that is much shorter then the other, then we go the opposite way. Haven't had a dirty look come our way yet, but then again I am not looking back to see if we had one anyways :lmao:

Have you seen the Modern Family episode when they go to Disney? Gloria wears really high stilettos and she's tottering around the park until Jay gets her huge Minnie Mouse slippers. I loved that! I wince when I see women wearing high heels in the parks. It just looks so uncomfortable.

No I havent watched any Modern Family. I need to though cause I hear it's hilarious. :happytv:

Those and crab legs!

Does anyone else feel like Tyler Durden? YOU ARE NOT A SPECIAL SNOWFLAKE!:cool1:

I used to think it should be "If you don't do it at home, you shouldn't do it on vacation"..then I realized just how many people have truly atrocious manners regardless of where they are. I don't think any of us are completely innocent in that we neeeevvvveeerr do something that might irk someone else.

Personally I've had my butt punched and pushed by a 5-6 year old in POTC line only to firmly swat his hands off me, and had 2 kids of a certain SA persuasion play tag and catch around my table at 50's PT only to have the ball hit and roll across my table and kid A reach right across my plate to grab it back. Oh if ONLY I had been a second faster, I would have loved to see Mom come ask for it back. pirate:

Oh well, I suppose I'll continue to cultivate my "look" (which has become more effective than I ever could have hoped for. It's a mix of raised eyebrow and "really?") and the special brand of sarcasm I reserve for people like most have mentioned in their peeves.
