Oh me too! No doubt.

My gripe of the week is about people who don't pay attention to notes sent home from school.
Early last week, my classroom teacher (I'm an aide) sent out a flyer describing a field trip, along with a permission slip. The trip was yesterday. The signed permission slip and money were due on Monday. As of the end of the day Monday, we had responses from exactly three of our 12 families. Upon reminding them about the due date, several people said a) they didn't see it or, b) they saw it but lost it and can they please have another copy? We really should have cut it off at the deadline, but then we would have parents complaining to the principal that their child didn't get to go. The principal would probably back us up, but then we would have unhappy parents for the rest of the year, just looking to call us out on something else. It's just not worth it. So yesterday morning while waiting for the field trip bus, we had parents standing outside and signing permission slips and digging out money. We had a teacher from another school, who was planning the trip, asking for a final count. We honestly couldn't give her one until we boarded the bus. Why? Because people can't seem to handle pulling a piece of paper out of their child's backpack, taking note of the due date, signing it and sending it back.
My husband says Walmarts. He's a wonderful man, whom I love very much. It really is a such a minor thing, but it makes me want to throat punch him. (Not actually a physical throat punch, just a mental one)
Whistling. The sound of someone whistling a song gets on my last nerve.
The uselessness of TV network names, since 90% of it seems to be "reality TV" junk anyway. A&E is no longer Arts and Entertainment, TLC is no longer The Learning Channel, heck The Weather Channel barely covers weather anymore!
People who drive to the gym on a beautiful day, cruise the parking lot for the closest parking space they can find, only to go into the gym to WALK ON THE TREADMILL!!!
Yeah, that one bugs me![]()
Most small dogs are very yappy. VERY. "Oh look, a fly. I feel threatened, BARK BARK BARK!". This is why I hate small dogs. I cant handle all that yapping.1. Barking/howling dogs. I have a dog, she barks, VERY rarely. If she was outside barking I would open the door and bring her back inside. The people who live behind me recently got 2 small dogs. The dogs are outside yipping and barking for an hour or more at a time.
For years now, someone on the next block has a dog that howls for hours and hours. I just don't get it.
Your kids can be kind and respectful, but they also have to learn to not be so sensitive with the issue. They are in for a rude awakening if they're going to cause a fuss every time they hear someone swear.Yes he has, in HS. He's used to the language because most of his friends swear and I have been known to cuss like a sailor on occasion but my kids don't really swear. Damn is huge issue to them let alone any other words.
He just wants people to be kind and respectful to those around them.
It will be interesting to see when he's older. He will most likely have his own restaurant some day and I can definitely say that bad language will not be tolerated.

I'm going to add a driving related one. DS changed schools this year and now my route takes me to a busy 4-way stop where I need to turn left. No one seems to know how 4-way stops work anymore. I can't believe how many times it has been time for the cars going in my direction to go and I pull out waiting for the cross traffic to clear only to have them stop and wait for me to turn left in front of them.Hello, you are going straight....I'm supposed to wait for you to cross and then turn behind you.
