pet loops?

My parents will be bringing their RV to FW in December and we will join them in our own rig. They have a kitty who never, ever goes outside. Will they be required to be in the pet loop? I want to be close to them but don't want my children playing where animals have been. Can my folks come to the non-pet loops with us?

I would book a non-pet loop. Cats are a little diffrent. Dogs have to be taken for walks and on a leash. A cat that never leaves the camper should be just fine.

I disagree. Pets are pets according to Disney. I would book the pet loop and pay the 5 dollar per day fee. I stay in the pet loops all the time, and for the most part, people clean up after their pets pretty well. There are no exceptions in Disney's rules for pets staying inside campers, and you may risk being asked to either move or kennel your pet if you book a non pet loop and someone sees your pet and complains.

I agree, I would not think you would need to be in a pet loop with an indoor cat.

I understand her concern about kids and other people's pets. One of my 6yo gransons is so afraid of any dog that is bigger than a cat.

I understand this,too. My dog, while not aggressive, doesn't really like a lot of people. He does really well with kids, however. But the question is whether a cat kept inside of a camper should be on a non pet loop. According to the rules Disney requires pet owners to sign, there is no distinction between dogs or cats, or whether they can be in a non pet loop if contained within the camper. If there is a real question about rules, I think the manager at FW could be contacted and would clear up any doubts. After all, that would be the final authority, and I would talk to the manager on duty, not a regular CM.

If they/you feel you should pay the pet fee, maybe they will still allow you to stay in a non-pet loop for the reasons you mentioned. If I were another guest staying in a non-pet loop I wouldn't care if there was an indoor cat in the next site.

What are you camping in. We always stay in the 1500 loop and I'm pretty sure the loop right behind that is a pet loop. At least there were alot of people walking dogs. Maybe you could get sites that back up to each other.

Never said it was about the 5 dollars.

The loops mentioned are the 1500 and 1600 loops. They are adjacent and share a common comfort station. The 1600 loop is a full hookup pet loop. However, the 1500 loop is a partial hookup loop with small sites designed mainly for tents and popups. Whether this loop would work or not would depend on what the OP has for equipment.

I think an indoor cat is different, he doesn't go out like a dog I would just bring him to the area your family is in

My neighbor who stays at the fort about three times a year always takes their cat, it's an indoor cat and never goes out, this pass August at the fort, their rv lost power, if it hadn't been for them staying in a pet loop mantainance would have never cut their power back on for them while they were at the parks. There was a note left on there rv door letting them know power went out at 11:30 am they were back at 7:00 pm it was 98 that day, that could have easily turned into a nightmare. Another reason to think about.

That could be a bad thing. Poor cat, in that heat . I have three cats, but never take them on vacation. But mine are outside alot in the summer. I pay a house sitter, or cat sitter to take care of them.

This is the first time we are taking our little dog tinkerbell, never been on a pet loop, but I am concerned because even though our camper is not that big, we always seem to have to move from the site they give us... because of where the trees and elec. poles are located for the slide and the awning, and this time we are putting a tent in the site as well for guest..

hopefully the pet loops will not be too noisy...
