I'm going to give the pet friendly lodging thread an overhaul for our Diser's that like to travel w/ their furbabies. If anyone has reviews of places they've stayed recently w/ their pet's, I'd like to include that. Please include any additional fee's you paid for bringing your pets.

Thanks!

As has been noted, the Loews Hotels @ Universal Orlando are very pet friendly. There's no additional fee. The Hard Rock Hotel & Portifino Bay Hotel are our hotels of choice in Orlando.

Last month we went to Orlando for a quick getaway before our DS started back to school & to visit the Comedy Warehouse & Adventurers Club before they closed. Since we weren't going to UO, we stayed at the Holiday Inn Sunspree. I was a bit concerned, since we're used to nicer hotels. I shouldn't have been! We had a great stay & are most likely returning next month for a WDW trip. The room was clean & they were very accommodating w/ Molly.

We had a room with a king bed & twin size bunk beds behind a divider. Ours wasn't a typical Kid's Suite like you see on the site, but worked better for teenagers. (There wasn't a door between the king & bunkbeds.) There were 2 tvs. The tv in the bunkbed side of the room had a speaker in the wall for sound. We also had a mini-fridge, microwave & coffee maker. Our DS & his girlfriend enjoyed the arcade. The pool looked nice, but we didn't have time to use it. I don't know about housekeeping, since we clean up after ourselves rather than have a stranger come in & scare our 4-legged baby girl. There was a $40/ stay fee. On a less positive note, avoid the breakfast buffet!!! It was nasty & not cheap! :scared:

when the new Hilton at Bonnet creek opens - it is surpose to be pet friendly - this is not on Disney property. but closer than DTD.

there is also another resort going in at BC - that is also pet friendly (will try and find the name)

of course this was before the last financial disaster....

The Hilton would be in a good spot. hope it's soon .
anyone have info on a good vet in th area thanks

I'm crossing my fingers that the Hilton will indeed be pet-friendly when they open. Some Hilton's are listed as pet-friendly, but don't accept pets. :(

Sorry, I don't know anything about Vets in the Orlando area. Our Vet's an hour away, but I somehow doubt you'll want to drive that far. ;)
