I read Fort Wilderness now has sites that are pet friendly. My husband and I happen to be in the process of purchasing our first travel trailer (we've tented previously) and we'd love to take both our daughter and our dog with us to Disney World! Has anyone stayed in the pet friendly sites? How was it? How do you make sure you get on a pet friendly loop?

300 is the preferred pet loop but we've been put in both 200 and 400 with our dog. I'm not sure about the full hookup and premium pet loop numbers but they do exist. If the pet loop is full when you check in you'll be assigned to another. They won't turn you away.

When you book online you can request a pet loop in the "Requests" section. It's $5/night extra.

There is a Camping forum on Disboards, they've been very helpful to me.

Haven't they always been pet friendly? We camped there 12-13 years ago and I'm sure there were dogs then. Or maybe I am remembering wrong. Wouldn't be the first time.

Yes, they have been pet friendly for a long time.

no a couple of years before they closed all the kennels at FW and the theme parks - they allowed some pets at FW campgrounds
