i think it is absolutley amazing that God created all of the stars and knows them all by name. I know some of you aren't Christians, but look at that picture, isn't it amazing?
we live in a huge universe on a tiny dot. But God still cares for us
i agree that we should all be kinder for each other

There are millions of stars in the universe and that is most of what we see
imagine if we could see every star, every planet, everything

that is basically what it is saying. Carl Sagan is pointing out how incredibly complex our lives are, how complex we are and how very very very small we are compared to everything else. Man is an amazing creature. Carl also said to protect our home, even if it gets to the point where we are protecting it from ourselves

I love Carl Sagan. In biology last year, my teacher absolutely adored him, and we would watch videos of his all the time. There's even a quote of his from one of the videos that still sticks with me today; "We are but one short note in the music of life." That's what really put the world (well, universe, actually) in perspective for me - how we are here for such a short time, compared to the vast universe.

And about the quote in your first post, amazing. I love it, because it's so very, very true.
