I was just wondering how strict Disney is with having four people in a studio at one of the DVC resorts. Is there absolutely no way a family of five (2 adults, 3 children) can stay in a studio, or is there some leeway? Thanks.
 
I believe it depends on the age of the child (under 3 can stay and not count as a "extra person"). We too are a family of 5 and its really tough to always have to do a deluxe or get two rooms. The suites at All-Star would be nice for the extra bathroom but can add alot to your trip! We are HARDLY ever in the room and I guess its because of fire codes, etc. But Disney really needs to make more affordable options for real families to stay on property! There is a downtown hotel that sleeps 5-6 but I have never stayed there. We even left dear hubby home this past trip because of availability! LOL!!!!!

To answer your question, studios sleep 4 plus a child under 3 in a pack 'n' play. Member Services rarely books 5 into a studio, unless there is a major problem with a reservation, and the problem is somehow MS releated.

Member services has been allowing 5 of any age in a one bedroom unit, and the new AVK and BLT one bedroom units have a fold out sleeper chair in addition to the sleeper sofa. The other resorts do not provide the bed or bedding for an extra person in a one bedroom unit, but the person is allowed.
