Personalizing Bride/Groom Ears? What have you done??

Ok update: I found out u can personalize them in WDW for FREE!!
If u bought them online bring receipt..don't know about non-disney sites though..

Anyways here r the two places she told me about:
MK: Hat Shop found on Main Stree
Forget name of Place?? But shop is called Days of Christmas

The Days of Christmas shop is found in DTD.

Keep in mind that they typically have many personalization requests daily and sometimes require several days to complete the personalization, depending upon the season.

Yes, the Disney Days of Christmas store in Downtown Disney is the shop that you want to go to for personalization. I originally bought mine during my honeymoon in 1999, but didn't realize that personalization was possible until I saw a pair as an example in 2002 (Very neat I may add!) You have a choice of how you want decorated (i.e., colors, how personalized and can have a choice of Pixie Dust, Hearts, Flowers, etc...)

I ended taking mine down in 2003 and dropped off 1st or 2nd day. If I remember, they needed at least 3-5 days to get done. It was $5.00 per hat and then I paid $8.95 to have them ship home. Well worth the cost because if they get damage, they will replace!!!!! So, my total was $20.19 inc. tax.

Hope this helps and definately well worth the price. I plan on making a plexi glass box to put them into and put other wedding mementos as well as a special keepsake.

Hello all,
My DF and I called Disney Merchandising yesterday to look into ordering the ears and having them personalized for our honeymoon in October. The CM said that while you can order them over the phone you can't have them personalized. To do that you have to be in the store. Also, the store in DTD charges while the one in MK does not. The number we called was 407-363-6200. I also spoke with some family friends who go to Disney every year or so and have had items personalized in Disney and claim it shouldn't take to long. I guess we will wait and see. If anyone has anyother information, that would be great.

You may want to call the Days of Christmas store directly as other brides/grooms have had luck getting them personalized over the phone prior to arrival.

I called Days of christmas and they are personalizing the ears for me and they will be waiting at our hotels gift shop when we check in. It was very easy once I got a hold of days of christmas. I talked to 4 people in merchandising who said it was not possible. This has happened alot, Disney really needs to get everyone on the same page.

LUVTGR, Was there a charge for it besides the cost of the ears? The other thing that merchandising told me was that there was a charge for Days of Christmas since it was in DTD but that the store in MK (Mad Hatter?) didn't not charge.

Also, is the way they personlize them standard? My DF and I really like the ones in the pics above and hope to have it along those lines.

I don't remember where I got them, maybe the pin cart at the Poly? But you can buy FTW pins any place they sell pins. The fun is in the hunt.

I got pins similar to those off of Ebay. I think mine were 10 bucks each.

I'm getting my ears done by a sweet lady in my hometown. It took me forever to find someone...soo that's good u kept asking about getting them done. I had already ordered my ears though..so i'm really lucky to get them done

Sorry it took so long for me to get back to you I just got back. It cost $5 a pair to personalize them.

Does anyone have a toll free number for Disney? I want to contact Days of christmas but I would like to do it toll free from Toronto Actually any toll free number to disney would help.

I don't know of a toll-free number for general public use. Why not use YAK when making the call - at least that way it's only 5cents a minute.
