We would love to get a sign for in front of our camper stating our name and where we are from. I have seen them from time to time and they look so adorable and it's so fun to find out where people are from.

Does anybody have an idea of where I can get a sign such as this? I have done a search on the net, but didn't come up with much.

Thanks!!

Are you talking about those wood burned signs that hang by a chain on the front of travel trailers? I've mostly seen them at booths at county fairs and craft shows, both of which you should have in IN, I'd think, at least by early summer. Just an idea!

We got ours at the Eastern States Exposition, which is a huge fair held in the fall in West Springfield, Mass.

I'll keep my eyes open for a source for you.

Bigger flea markets sometimes have a guy doing those. I know they do them at Cedar Point - any excuse to go ride the roller coasters :-)

A friend of my dad's made ours. It is a big wooden one and I haven't figured out how to hang it yet.

Thanks so much for the replies!! We will be in FW the last week of May and would like to have it by then...(I always think of this crazy stuff at the last minute!!).

I was thinking about having one custom made in the shape of a Mickey icon...wouldn't that be cute?

I know the PERFECT place!!! We had ours made there. :p

In Frontierland, there is a booth that makes things like this. It came out beautiful and makes for a wonderful memory each time we hang it! :bounce:

So Colleen.......

Is your sign done Disney style? Do they offer characters on the signs, etc?

That is such a good idea...it will always bring back memories of our trip!!

Thanks!!

Yes, they did have the hidden Mickey for the signs. I THINK I remember seeing some of the other characters as well. As far as it being done disney-style, THAT'S another story!

DH found this place on his own. I think I had the kids on Splash Mountain at the time. It NEVER occured to him to put a Mickey on the sign!!!! He was so happy with what he had done, I didn't have the heart to tell him I would of preferred Mickey to the dolphin!! It really does look nice though!! He had the "honor" of hanging the sign on the camper when we were in FW in Dec. :p I don't remember the exact cost...so much per letter. Our last name has 8 letters in in!! I think it only took something like an hour to do it...he had gone in late afternoon too. :)

LOL....that sounds like soemthing my husband would do!!

I will certainly check that out the first day we are there, which (btw) is in 16 days!!!!!!!

Wow! Thanks for the info (and the funny story!). I've seen this booth but never thought to check it out!! I'll do that first thing, too.

Hey Campingcorgi...it looks like we will be in FW at the same time. We check in at the campground on 5/24!! We are driving from Indiana (yuk) and staying the first night at a DTD hotel!!

I will be wearing my green ribbon!! Maybe we'll see ya there!!

Also, I assume you have a Corgi? Will you be bringing it along? We also have a Corgi (the best dog we have ever had!!), but she will not be with us on this trip.

Colleen A--hop on!

Twinscandc--Yes, the hairy barky beasty loves WDW! He is a good traveler and a good camper!! Corgis are really good dogs for sure!!

We'll be wearing our Lime green Mickey heads on our lanyards and hopefully be in the 1700 loop. Hope to see you!

Sure....come on down!! The more the merrier!!

This will be our first trip to FW...we are soooo excited!!

We stayed at the Dolphin and went on a 7 day Disney cruise last summer. I was so worked up about the trip b/c it was a first for our DD's and my DH. This year I am so much more layed back about it and I think I will relax more and have a better time!!

FW sounds great...I can't wait!!

You don't by chance have a picture of it that we could see? I would love to see what it looks like.

I'll run out and grab a picture and post it asap!:)
