Personalized bricks at Polynesian

I called twice and spoke with dino today and this is it. They do not sell them for sure!!!! I tried and tried but was told unfortunately they were not doing it any longer. There might have been a few lucky ones who got a brick , maybe they had some space they could fill. I was told that sometimes divorcees asked for their bricks to be removed so maybe this is why! Just wanted to give you the heads up as I tried as soon as I saw the info on the chat room but do not waste your time Dino told me he could only do name changes and clean up for existing bricks.
Lucky for some of you who got the few they could sale but it is over for good!!!!

What number did you call? We have three names that have been mentioned here, plus someone seeing the advertisement at the MK. Plus a lot of our charge cards have been charged. I'm just wondering what the real story is?

I was told they sold the few they had available. Dino was very nice but he said there were none left. He said that the buzz went through the internet very quickly and they were not expecting this demand so you got very lucky!
I have to wait until next time. I think it is ligit! he told me they had sold some this week but no more!!!

I'm confused (and concerned). Did people actually get confirmations back from WDW indicating that their applications were accepted and that they would indeed be getting a brick in the Walk Around the World.... or are they just seeing the $295 charge and assuming they are one of the presumed lucky ones able to purchase a brick?

I jumped on this thread when I read it, because I have always wished I had one of those bricks. Now I am feeling really nervous. I'd actually clobber my husb if he ever responded and gave a credit card # without getting all sorts of confirmation that the offer was on the up & up. A few people have confirmed that the tel # was an actual WDW number, but I'm worried about that fax number now. That's where we all faxed our cc info. What also concerns me is that the email from Dean never actually said anything about Disney World in the subject of the email or within the email itself; he was just emailing documents that did reference Disney.

I certainly hope everything is legit, because rarely does a day pass that this Maine girl doesn't think, talk or plan for her return to Mickey and Disney World. I am so very excited to think I may finally get a brick in Disney's Walk Around the World, but I am getting alittle more nervous everyday!!!!

I didn't fax my info, but mailed it First Class US mail to the address at the bottom of the form last week. I followed up with an email to Dean, but never received a reply. I just called my CC company, but there was no charge pending. Then, I just called the Walk Around The World number and left a message to see if they actually received my info. I'm waiting to hear back. Dean's email is authentic. I'm an IT person and traced the message that he sent me back to it's orgin. The IP information is legitimate.

When I called the number that is listed here and on the faxed form (On Tuesday of this week), I spoke directly with Denise. She was very nice and said they were filling in areas around the MK with bricks. She then asked for my email and phone number and explained that she would be sending 2 documents-one application and one legal release that needed to be sent back. She described how I needed to fill in the application and needed to choose an icon, etc. She explained the papers could be faxed or mailed back to them. Everything I received was sent as promised and arrived on time and as described. I have no worries!

Johnnyr,
That's reassuring to know. I also called the number and had a call back from Denise. It just makes me nervous not receiving any sort of email or written confirmation back. I also sent a separate email to Dean and never rec'd a reply.

Here's hoping we all get our bricks! :) I look forward to seeing one with my name in Nov!

I also called and spoke with them AFTER I sent my fax to confirm that they received it, and they had. So the WDW number, the CMs we have mentioned, etc all match with the fax number we all used :goodvibes

I Faxed my brick app and then i played phone tag with Dean, finally i spoke to Dean and i was on the phone a long time talking to Dean about the names and how it would look on the brick. Then Dean told me in about 7 to 10 days i would receive what my brick will look like and if i needed to make any changes that would be the time to call back. Dean also said it would take 10 to 12 weeks for the brick to be set into place and by then i would receive another letter showing where my brick was and pics of the brick and other bricks around it to help us locate the brick. Dean was very wonderful and took his time explaining everything to me. I have not checked my cc yet, but thank you to all that explain what it says about the charge, otherwise i would have been freaking out about a stroller charge of $295 that i never rented. :rotfl:

as far as the amount of bricks that were going to be sold, i though i read at the beginning of the thread, 20,000 bricks. was this the wrong amount of bricks that were suppose to be sold, i would thought that many it would have been advertized a little bit better. maybe it was only 2,000 and i could see 2,000 being sold the past two weeks. what ever the amount is, good luck to all that really wanted one! :wizard:

i know i wanted one when they were $100 and then $225 and now $295 and i just decided how long was i going to wait until they are $500.00 or $1000.00
:scared1: By then it will make my $295 seem like a deal :lmao: :woohoo:

I also forgot to mention that Dean said all the orders that they had now will be placed to be ordered on the coming tuesday june 5th, 7 to 10 days from then i should receive my letter of what my brick looks like.

I was told (not by Dean, but by another CM who spoke very fast) they were adding 20,000 bricks. The two location he mentioned were somewhere around the monorail station (TTC) and Toon Town inside MK. Don't know how true this is though.

Can someone email me (bernandjon@hotmail.com) or pm me the application??

Thanks so much!!!

B

i faxed mine in yesterday-i hope im still able to get a brick
and im leaving today for disney so if i see that small building open by MK then i will stop in and ask a few questions :cool1:

Dean told me they are selling a limited number of 20,000 path stones to fill in the empty spots around the MK. I seriously doubt they sold out already since people who are on vacation are still seeing the kiosk for this set up in front of the MK. I just bought two of them two days ago. I'd be amazed if they were gone-and yes, I got my confirmation.

So am I the only one who was told by Dean that there were/are bricks available to be placed on the walkway between the GF Wedding Pavilion and the Poly?

How did you receive your confirmation?

You may just be the only person that asked. :confused3 I doubt anyone would want a brick there unless it was to celebrate a wedding/anniversary as it would be out of the way to go visit it.

I just called and left a message at the phone number. Hopefully someone will get back to me next week. I'm not particulary worried about anything, just want to talk to someone myself since everyone seems to be getting conflicting messages.

Do you have a personal vendetta against Disney or something? You sound like a disgruntled CM who is bent on making everyone believe your misguided information is correct. Since you joined the Dis a few days ago this seems to be the only topic you post on....btw...you called Disney twice as of two days ago....update your story if you called again today.

I would certainly have been interested in a path stone by the WP since me and DH were married there years ago, but Dean had stated they are only filling in the ones around MK right now, but that could be inclusive of the WP area, I really don't know and did not ask for specifics.
