The fiancee and I are starting to create a personal wedding webpage for our guests. We thought it would be nice because everyone attending will be traveling. Did anyone else do this? If they are still active do you mind posting so I could see how others formatted their sites.

Thanks

CONGRATULATIONS!

Have you visited www.weddingwindow.com? They have predesigned templates and flash intro's. You can get a 7-day free trial and after that it is $70.00 for a year + $20.00 for every 3 additional months (or something like that).

Anyway, I found this site to be quick and easy. I work in IT and used this as a way to get it done, without the coding (planning a wedding...don't have time to spend on designing).

You can also pay to get your own domain name for like $15.00. You can upload picture albums, your newsletters, videos, and many pages of content. You can turn each page on and off with a click of a button. It is really one of the best website template companies in the business.

It was very worthwhile for me and you can see all changes/updates immediately. They have over a dozen templates and most templates have 3+ color schemes that you can continously change. :cool1:

I must say that this site is awesome and definetly worth trying since it is FREE during the trial period, but I'll guarantee that you'll love it enough to purchase your site.

Hope this information was beneficial. Have fun!

That looks like a great site! I know disney gives you a website....do you get this site when you start planning (i.e. a year before the event?) or is it just a short time before?

Ours has been updated a number of times and will be revamped again soon!

www.coreyanddavid.com

pre-wedding and post-wedding have the old versions of the website, so you can see its evolution.

Pouncing Pluto, What tools did you use to create yours? MEME do you need their site after you create yours? (IE can I get by with the $30 and just have it hosted somewhere else?)

We have our own domain name, but if you wanted a free one, the ones at theknot.com are really good. Templates are designed and give you places to put in all the pertinent details. weddingchannel.com also has free ones.

Thanks for all the great sites. pouncingpluto what program did you use to develop your site. I love it! Its something I would love to try and do. Also, where did you get the great pictures from inside the living seas and the one at the top?

PouncingPluto--I am SO envious--I LOVE your website and think it looks SO incredible...plus your events just sound really awesome!!! Congrats!

Thanks... my fiance is a graphic artist... he did everything. He actually doesn't think he did a great job on it because he didn't use higher end technology, but I think he's just a snob because he's in the business. :)

I'll ask him what software he used.

As far as where we got the pictures... they were collected from different sources... some came from Disneymooners... some (like the luau, and I think the resort photos) were from the official WDW website. Some (like my ring, the glass slipper, the roses) are personal photos.

pouncingpluto, tell your fiance that he did an incredible job! My DH is a computer geek who can program, so he had no problem programming the webpages. However, neither of us are graphically inclined, so that was something we couldn’t really do. Your page is great!
