What do you think the value of having a "Personal Photographer" to follow you and your family around a park on a Saturday would be worth? They would snap pix of your family on rides, with characters, etc.

You would get a CD of all pix, an e-mail containing all the pix, a VCD of all the pix, and maybe a dozen or so hard copies of the best pix.

I think Disney would have a problem with that.
Disney won't let you do it. They have their own services.

How would they know about it unless you told them? It is no different than anyone who takes pix in the park.

Disney does have rules and you aren't allowed to bring in your own photographer unless you are have a FTW. You will be asked to leave the property and not come back. Disney have their own photographic services for that purpose.

it's pretty obivous when you have a photographer following you around with their professional equipment.

Sounds like you need to do your homework if you are the one starting this business. Disney is very protective and I don't think you want to get on the wrong side of Disney. Do you really think you could have this sort of business and Disney would not know?

I said personal, in this digital age equipment can be a minimum and they would appear to be just another member of the group.

and Disney would not know?
Yes.

As you are following people around CM's would start to notice. Also as you are moving around trying to get shots of the family you would start to stick out.

You are naive to think that Disney wouldn't notice or care.

One family, not many. . . .prearranged before they arrive at the park.

One family this morning, another in the afternoon. Or one on Monday, then one on Tuesday.

If you don't want advice why did you post the question? People are trying to be helpful.

No, one for the day (8 hours let's say). Saturday only. . .

The other poster is right. You would stick out like a sore thumb. If you didn't want the advice and were just going to fight, then why post the question? Disney is VERY protective of stuff like that. You have no chance at doing this.

This sounds very similar to what we did through Gifts of a Lifetime last fall.

:) Michele

I don't think you would stick out but the cost would seem to be prohibitive.

If you're talking a one time shot and asking a photographer to follow you around with a digital camera yes you'll get away with it.
However, in order not to stick out like a sore thumb he's going to be relegated to a point and shoot or at most a mid range consumer model. And why would you want to hire a photographer and pay him what his time is worth just to tie his lens behind his back? You'd be better off picking up a refurbished 35 mm Ph. D camera (Press Here Dummy) for the adults in the family ($20-$35 on ebay) and telling em to go to town with em. The kids you can get the new One use Kodac Zoom models for $8. You'll get far more memorable candids that way.
