I'll be traveling mid April with my ds4. I have read a lot about the heat there being more than you realize. We already have a personal mister. Would it be a good idea to bring it or should we be okay if the temp stays around average. I think that time of year, highs should normally be around 83-84.

Thanks so much for any help!!!

I would take one. April can be very hot (or really nice) but better safe than sorry.

I have one of those small pump misters(no batteries, no fan). It is very small and narrow and not heavy at all. It is east to refill when the water gets warm. I take it everywhere when it is warm because it is not a hassle to carry around. I got mine on QVC.

The one I have is nothing fancy. It does have a fan, but it is made out of that foam stuff, a strap to carry and is about the small size of a bottle of windex or something like that. I think I paid $4 at Walmart for it.

I'm just shocked that it may be warm enough for it in April! YIKES! I'm not to worried about me, but DS. Then again, I've read they have misters in the park too ??? Oh, and I honestly think we won't be in the park 1-4 pm daily too.

still think it is worth packing?

I had to read this. For just a moment, I wondered if you were looking for a date...:rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl:

Personally, I've never felt the need for one in April, the heat may be there but the humidity isn't yet. When we travel in August, it's a whole different story.

I've been the first week of May with my then 3 and 6 year old. They were glistening like little pigs in their shaded stroller. We bought 2 fan/misters at the parks. It was hot. Depends on where you are from and how use you are to the heat.

Yep. Keep in mind the Florida humidity. While it won't be as bad as summertime, it will still be quite warm and humid in April.

We have 2 of those WDW misters...and never even bring them on our May or summer trips. I guess the heat doesn't bother us much. Last summer, it was just as hot (or hotter) at home in Maryland while we were on our WDW trip.

We arrived April 28 last year and it was over 90 degrees with high humidity every day of our trip. DS2 definitely used the mister fan alot. You could also look into getting a small Misty Mate mister, they don't require batteries.

It really does depend on how you handle the humdity, NOT HEAT. Most people don't mind heat, but add in all the hot moisture in the air and they die. If you are from the southern states you should be fine, but if you are from up north, I would atleast pack it for fear that if you don't have it you will need it.
