Personal item?

I believe carry-ons are supposed to fit in the overhead bin, and personal items are supposed to fit under the seat in front of you. I guess it might depend on the style and size of your Baggalini as to whether it is a carry-on or personal item.

You are allowed one carry-on and one personal item. So it depends on how you pack. If you have a small roll-on suitcase, that is your carry-on. So the bag would be your personal item. No additional pocketbook, computer case, etc would be allowed.

OTOH, if you didn't have a roll-on you could take both the bag and a pocketbook or computer case.

Basically, you can take on two items only one of which can be a full-sized "carry on," which means one of those rollerboard suitcases or something of similar size that will not fit under the seat in front of you. The other item must be able to fit under the seat in front of you. However, you can always take on two smaller, personal items and not a larger carry on.
