Personal Hand Fan

Does anyone remember seeing personal hand fans? I was thinking in Epcot-Japan?? My DD loves these fans and we are hoping to get her one while we are there.

Do you mean the classic chinese style ones that you waft yourself or the battery ones?

You're talking about the folding paper/fabric fans, not the battery powered misting fans, right? I've bought lovely fans in the stores in both Japan and China. They have several different price points depending on size and what they'r made of. You can get a very inexpensive one of plastic and fabric or paper at either location. They also have some absolutely gorgeous hand painted and carved fans that are more collectors items.

They definitely have them in China. We purchased one and they wrote my DGF's mom's name in Chinese on it! Really really beautiful!

Yes!! The paper/fabric ones!! Thanks guys...I was thinking that I saw them before but for the life of me, I couldn't remember!

I think my kids got some in Japan. They were shredded by the time we checked out

Our kids have 2 each from Japan - they will personalize them. We have them hanging on their bedroom walls - love them!

Odd piece of trivia - I always wondered if what they wrote for our kids name was the true translation. (I know, I'm odd ). 2 fans, 2 different years, 2 different CMs, same kiddos name - both exactly the same.
