Personal Cooling System?

Has anyone ever used one of these from Sharper Image?...Personal Cooling System . We bought one for our June trip. Just wondering if anyone has tried this and what you thought of it...

I got one, $30 new, sold for $1 at garage sale. Maybe they work in less humid climates but it does NOT work in FL. Sorry.

I am guessing that they do not work. My father, who is always hot, and will start sweating even in air conditioned places, bought one and does not even bother bringing it with him to Orlando. I think he brought it once and leaves it at home now....
