Has anyone ever used a chef service? Seems like I read about that in Hilton Head. Here are two in Orlando.
The personal chefs come to your villa (onsite at disney or otherwise) and cook a gourmet meal and serve right there. I thought this would be something usual, and very "special" for birthdays or anniversarys or whatever. They also will cook fresh meals and package them for storage in your villas so you don't have to cook while on vacation! There are two of them; see link below:

Me, too! Me, too! What a good idea! (Now all I have to do is win that darn lottery)!

I've booked a dinner for late January! Just had to try it out. Brenda, the chef I'm using , has been so helpful - as we get "older" our diets are becoming , hum...more "restrictive" for both of us and she has been such an angel in offering various menus that suite our needs (and tastes!).

What sort of table ware do the Boardwalk Villas have? Is it your basic white or some other design (I have thought about bringing down nicer placesettings for the event - Brenda even said she could supply some too. Just not sure what to do yet). Also thought about decorating the villa with white swag Chirstmas lights or something like that to make it more special. Any other ideas?

Me too!

It also sounds like a great way to get around using that stove decoration thingy in the villa! :teeth:

I want to know more about this service!! DH,DS & I really enjoyed a Private Affair w/ Chef Gordon in HH this past Aug. In fact, it was the highlight of an otherwise rain soaked week. Part of the magic of Chef Gordon is that he uses the beach house & you have a great view of the ocean while you dine. But part of the charm is having a meal designed just for your family w/o the hassle of PSs, etc. We'll be in BCV in March & would love to try a really good in-room dining experience, esp. towrds the end of our stay, when energy is starting to dwindle..

Thanks for posting this link! I've gone ahead and emailed for additional information.....

I'll be sure to post about our experience in Jan. - after my last trip to Orlando, I could have "killed" (well, not really, but close!) for a baked potato....or good homecooked fried chicken....or anything NORMAL. But, I think I'll have the "gourmet meal" a little more fancy....and maybe have Brenda whip up some "comfort foods" for the frig too!
