If I get to a ride like the Mine Train with someone in a wheelchair and all the fastpasses have been given out for the day will they still give us a time to return and ride the ride?
At WDW, if the line in mainstreamed (Mine Train is) then you go into the standby line. If its not a mainstreamed line, you get a wheelchair return card. I believe the same is also true of DL but there are fewer mainstreamed lines so you are more likely to run into nonmainstreamed lines.
The availability of FP has nothing to do with the ability of a person in a wheelchair to ride the ride.
The Seven Dwarfs Mine Train ride is considered "mainstreamed" in that the regular queue (standby line) is accessible to wheelchairs. There are relatively few rides at WDW that are not mainstreamed. If you check out the disABILITIES FAQ thread pinned near the top of this forum, there is a list of those with a separate entrance. On rides with a separate entrance, it is possible to receive a wheelchair return card, but they are not always in use (depends on the crowds).
As a note...Fastpasses are no longer given out as paper tickets at WDW. WDW now uses the FP+ system where you pre-select 3 fastpass times.
Enjoy your vacation!
As a note -- on the disABILITIES FAQ thread -- we have just yesterday migrated the boards to new software. Page number changed, but post numbers should be accurate.
