My first DVC stay is booked for October F &W and MNSSHP. It was a surprise for Mom on Mother's day since Dad passed away last year. Anyway, had us booked at SSR my home resort for a studio. I was ok with that but really wanted to get closer to the action. Well, I have been calling everyday since April and finally!!!! I got us a 1 bedroom at the boardwalk for Oct 20-23!!!! :cool1:We are staying on the 19th at Kidani because there was nothing at the BWV, I'm psyched to check it out but on the waitlist for the
19th just so we don't have to move that much...

Anything I want to know about F & W??? Sooooo excited!

CONGRATS!!!!!!!!!!!

Need to know... start small, if you start in UK and get 2-3 things at each place by Italy.. YOUR stuffed! :) .. Break it up over your few days.

Have fun.

I agree with Sweetdana. Don't do the event in one day. My sister and BIL met us one year and just marched around the world showcase. We didn't get to savor anything; not to mention, afterward I was hot and tired. Take it slow!

Also, we prefer to start early - 11 am when the WS opens. By late afternoon/evening, it gets busy. If you snack around for the lunch time hours and early afternoon, it is less crowded.

Have a wonderful time. I'm glad your waitlist came through!

Definitely take your Mom to MNSSHP if you can afford it. The parade and special fireworks are worth the price of admission all by themselves. Plus even the adults like to go trick or treating, LOL.

But other than that, my advice is to skip the other parks this time and spend most of your time in the World Showcase, trying out all the different foods and beverages.

Be sure to check out all of the special events for F&W - here's a link to the DIS info on this year's events.

Epcot Food and Wine Festival

If something interests you, keep an eye out for booking dates. Some of the seminars have only nominal charges. My DH is not a wine fan, but even he enjoyed the wine seminar I booked us for last year. I loved the tequila tasting event and we both loved the special dinner at Paradiso37 in DD. BOOK THE SPECIAL EVENTS EARLY - they sell out FAST!

BWV and BCV are perfect locations for the Food & Wine Festival - you are going to have a wonderful time. Good luck with that waitlist. Hope it comes through - nothing wrong with AKV, but it would be so much more convenient to have the whole stay at BWV for this trip.

Good luck!
