Permanent marker on clothes

DS will start going to day care two days a week next week. I know it has to be done, but I'm still sad...back to my question...

I need to label his extra clothing. I was going to put his name on the tag in his clothes. If I use a Sharpie, will it bleed in the wash and get all over everything?

I used a sharpie on my mother's clothing and it did not bleed when I washed them. Rub a dub works well, too

I'm pretty sure my laundry marker is a sharpie and, it's NEVER run.

BTW, Rub-A-Dub is a Sharpie brand pen, special for laundry.

Working in a nursing home I've labeled my far share of clothes. I have used both Shaprie Reg. and Rub a Dub they both work equally weel and I've never had one bleed. You may have to relabel after a few months but writing on tag you may not.

We use a regular Sharpie too, and it will fade over time, but has never bled and ruined anything.
