I can't find the answer on the official web site, but I wondered if DVC owners can get discounts on room rates at other resorts if they want to pay cash. I want to spend one night at the GF before checking onto BWV, mainly because I worry about the weather in PA. in January, and I would rather arrive a day early than in a snow storm and lose points.

If I call MS next week, can they make the reservations?

If so, can they give me a discount? Thanks for any help.

No discounts for cash rooms at Disney hotels. I don't think MS can make ther reservation for you, but I could be wrong about that.

There is no discount for DVC members, but there is for Annual Pass Holders, and If you are a DVC member, you get the discount on the Annual Pass.

Also, consider the Disney Dining Experience. You get a discount on the membership if you are an AP holder.

It's worth doing it all if you go more than 6-8 days in a 12 month period.

1) I don't know if I'd do GF.
2) You gotta weigh the money.
3) The GF will cost you $350+, versus losing one night's points.
4) Sounds like the risk of point loss is far cheaper.
5) Also, MS does not make non-DVC resort ressies.

MS can only make points reservations at the WDW non-DVC resorts.
