Looking at booking a trip for Disneyland next year and we're considering getting the Disney credit card if there are any perks to using it for tickets or merchandise/meals in the parks. Anyone have any experiences??

You can use it to earn Rewards. Those rewards can be used to pay for your meals, hotel, etc...

You get a free meet and greet in the park.

I *think* you can get meal discounts at certain restaurants. (We have premier passes, so that discount is better.)

ETA -

Disneyland® Resort – Disneyland® Park: Big Thunder Ranch, French Market and River Belle Terrace; Disney California Adventure® Park: Cocina Cucamonga Mexican Grill, Wine Country Trattoria (Lunch), and Paradise Garden Grill; Disneyland® Resort Hotels: The Lounge at Steakhouse 55 (Breakfast), Steakhouse 55 (Breakfast), Disney’s PCH Grill (Breakfast and Dinner) and Storytellers Café (Lunch). Subject to restaurant operating hours and closures. Restaurant seating is subject to availability. Please refer to DisneyVisaPerks.com for offer validity times.

9. Must use your valid Disney Visa Card and/or Disney Rewards Redemption Card at time of purchase. Most tours require separate Theme Park admission. Cardmember must participate in the tour. Tours can be booked for up to 10 total Guests. Some tours have age and other restrictions. May not be combined with any other discounts, offers or promotions. Subject to availability. Offer is subject to change without notice and may be subject to additional terms and conditions. Tour tickets may not be sold or transferred for a commercial purpose.

I think you get 10%.

There is an official page listing the perks of the Disney Visa.

There aren't a ton of perks. The one we use most commonly is the free meet-and-greet and photo at DCA. There is a shopping discount at many of the stores on purchases of $50 or more; the website lists the exclusions. There are dining discounts; the included restaurants change periodically which is why it's good to check the page I linked for what's current. There is a vacation financing offer. No admission ticket discounts except for special events like the Halloween party. You can get discounts on tours too.

I have been using mine to buy everything this year, I have the basic card, not the premium that has the $50 annual fee. I now have nearly $200 Disney dollars reward points. Starting now is hard, not as much time to use it and get money from it, but worth it to save us for next trip. I plan on using it for a big thing like WOC dinner. In the past I have used it for shopping, dining in the park, it paid for all of our lunches and shopping last year. Once you have over $10 in rewards you order up a gift card and then can reload it as you gain more rewards. It takes a few weeks to ship so make sure you have time allotted for that.

The meet n' greet is by Mosters Inc with different Characters through the year, it is exclusive to Chase card holders.

I use it to buy all my gifts in the park, 10% off over $50 spent.

I'm curious about the Meet and Greet. When do they give you the photo? Do they mail it to you? Are the characters in there usually the same ones throughout the day? Thanks!

The meet-and-greet runs from 10:30 AM - 1:30 PM daily at DCA near the Mad Tea Party Arcade and Monsters Inc ride. These days the characters usually rotate between Minnie and Stitch. When you get to the CM at the front of the line, you show your Disney Visa card. The CM will give you a voucher for your free photo. When you meet the character, the photopass photographer will take pictures and add them to a photopass card for you. You take that photopass card that same day to the photo shop in either park, and you can choose one of the photos from that meet and greet. They used to be less strict about what photo you chose, but they are firmly enforcing that the picture must be from the meet-and-greet, not, for example, from when you met Mickey in his house some other time that day. The photo is a 5 x 7.

Last I heard you got 20% off tours, same as with a Disney AP. The dining discount is 10%.
