Not a question for the guys... :rotfl:

I think my hormones have been out of whack for some time now, but at least Aunt Flo hasn't been coming any more than once a month (28-30 days apart). The last couple months, however, her visits have been 25 days apart. WTH? I was hoping they'd get further apart, NOT closer together. Have others had this happen, and if so, have the visits continued to get closer together or do they start spacing out more (yes, I space out more now days, but I'm talking about auntie visits... ;) )?

I have no idea as perimenopause is hitting me and I'm in a fog. This stuff is new to me.

I'm wondering this though.........If you're not opposed to going on the pill and if it's OK health-wise for you to do so, perhaps that'll even out the Aunt Flo visits?

How old are you?

I'm 41 and mine are not regular anymore at all. Sometimes they're earlier than they should be, and sometimes later. It's so weird not being able to predict them like I have my entire adult life!

Yup....I will get it sooner...then I actually skipped one month. But the next time was really bad!! It comes and goes when it wants to. It really sucks. I just want her GONE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

This has been happening to my mom. Hers are now around 24 days apart. Maybe that explains why she's always in a bad mood.... :rotfl:

For sure! I know I don't need PMS even closer together.

Since I don't need the pill for birth control I really don't want to go on it. It's been suggested to help with my migraines, but then other things I read says that it could make them worse.

Skipping a month would be ok, but then I'd never know when to expect it. This getting older is a drag, but the alternative isn't too good.

YES, yes and yes yes yes, LOL!

I'm only 36 but what used to come every 28 days like clockwork is now every 21 days like clockwork.

I hate it, LOL! It seems to be regular now though, just 7 days difference.

I'm 42 (almost 43) and for a few months this past spring my cycle was out of whack. I have always been set your clock by me regular. I never skipped a month but Auntie would show up early unannounced or late to the point of OMGosh panic. I have stopped keeping track to the day because it was way too stressful:laughing:

What I have noticed is that the Flo has changed considerably and drastically over the past year and not for the better but my severe cramping that has gone on since I was a teen has lessened. Also, I have never had more than a day of the PMS grouchies, in the past few months it is almost a week, with the sore girls, the grouchies and the hot/cold temp fluctuations especially at night.

I also "hate" my really close friend who stopped having visits from Auntie in her late 30's and never fails to mention it ;)

Oh boy- I feel your pain. Seriously.:scared1: :lmao:

I tried the pill--- made my migraines horrific. So I stopped using it- and whaddaya know... 9 months later- a bouncing baby boy. So I got my "telephone disconnected" -;) ;) and so now I don't need the hormones, but-
I'm on the depressing end of thirty--- and my cycles come faster each month
so I need something to happen before my family disowns me.

How depressing.
I need chocolate.

Tomorrow will be the 9th anniversary of my 39th birthday, so it is about time for me to be going through all this, I do suppose.

I here ya, Tig....I have been off the wall for months now. I sure hope it ends soon:guilty: 21 days, 28 days 30 days...I just can't stand it, I'm so miserable:sad2:

I understand about not wanting to go on the pill.

I'm wondering if the pill would still regulate Aunt Flo as much as it should if you're hitting perimenopause. I'm on the pill and am usually regular, but lately I've had a couple of "." issues. I'm not sure if that's because I have been on antibiotics lately or if it's an age thing with perimenopause kicking into my system.

I got scared when I saw that you'd posted.....afraid of what pic you might post! :scared1: ;)

PD, no idea about the pill. Maybe someone has been there, done that and can let you know how it's been.

:lmao: I've been 29 forever.

DD always says it's so cool that her Mom never gets any older. :rolleyes1 The # 29 magically appears on every Birthday cake for me.;)

Well, I'm sorry you're going through this but I'm glad to read the responses! I've been regular like clockwork my whole life, down to starting the same time of day 28 days apart - ever since my last birthday, though, its started coming a week early! At least I know now that its normal - for a while there I thought I must have been abducted by aliens and was missing a week's time each month!

Jo, my dd tells me I won't be able to stay 39 forever, but I really don't know why. :rotfl:

Avalon, :rotfl2: about the alien abduction! I'm pretty sure that my brain has been abducted by some creature. I hope they are enjoying it because I'm kinda missing it.

Okay, seriously--- when they are wheeling me into the cafeteria at the nursing home and my hearing aid shrieks as they sing Happy Birthday and my dentures fall out of my mouth as I go to blow out the candles...
THEN, and only then
I shall know I am not 29 anymore.

Until that day... I am as good looking as a 29 year old Playboy Centerfold, baby.:rotfl: Oh wait- is 29 too old for Playboy???????????????

I've been on B.C. pills for 2-1/2 years. I started after one very obnoxiously heavy 2 hour visit from auntie. It was horrible. Thank goodness I was home for most of it. I was going through tampons every 15 minutes. I thought "what if I were in a meeting?" or heaven forbid - on an airplane, stuck on the tarmac. :scared1: I've been very happy with the pills. My migraines are definitely hormone induced, and they've almost gone away completely. My aunt Flo visits have also almost gone away completely. Some months I'm not even sure if anything happened. Usually, all I need are panty liners.

I do wonder how I'm going to know what's really going on with me, since the pills are regulating things. My cycles were never regular, though. It's pretty nice now to know when to expect things to happen.

I'm 46. My grandmother had her last child at 51, and when my mom died at 49, she was still getting visits, so I'm thinking I still have several years to go. :confused3

I was very lucky as I didn't get the hot flashes, my brain actually started to clear up (I figured it was because I went off wheat) and I started to be better emotionally. Aunt Flo still visited regularly. That is until the last 2 times she came to visit. The first one I was camping in a tent trailer. Thank goodness we were parked near a flushable. I spent hours in there with a book. I couldn't leave. I actually was getting really worried because she really decided to visit and we were an hour away from the nearest hospital. I ended up fainting at the little store. On the staff there was an EMT who looked at me and told my dh that they should call and ambulance. My dh told her that it was okay I could just go and have a nap. :confused3 :confused3 . After my Dr told him that I could have died he told her that he would take me to the hospital the next time. Thank goodness the next time Aunt Flo decided to visit she decided to not visit as hard . That was it. She hasn't visited in over a year and a half now. I am hoping she is gone forever.
