In pricing out our December cruise, nearly 100% of the time a CAT 11 is cheaper than a CAT 12.

I don't really understand the differences in cats, beyond inside vs. window vs. verandah, but I really don't understand the difference in these two. They seem the same to me:)

any ideas?

oh, and a side note. Going for a cat 11 isn't a huge mistake is it? We're going on a 3-day as part of our honeymoon, and I just don't forsee spending that much time in the room. I'd rather spend that extra money in the spa!

There are so many more category 11's than 12's. When they offer a special rate in off peak times, it is usually with category 11. They are the same room as the 12's, but spread out on upper decks.

Make sure DCL knows it is your honeymoon!!

The Cat. 11s are the promo rate cabins with DCL and they are often the best deal. :) There is no difference between them and Cat. 12s other than location on the ship.

Your Cat. 11 is not a mistake at all, enjoy the great rate and your honeymoon! :)
